Saturday Sketch 52

I promise....I will walk away from the GFS stamps....soon!

Club Anya and Friends Saturday Sketch 52:

I know I shouldn't be telling you this, but I really struggled with the colors on this card....especially with the pink, it seems not all pinks and reds are created equal and there's quite a bit of variance in the shades of both! With that said...

I used my stash of Heidi Grace PP and will be sad when it's gone, I really like the colors of this paper. There's lots of distressing and piercing, along with dry AND wet embossing on the Spellbinders heart die. I also used Spellbinders Nesties for the scalloped oval and the oval....gotta love those Nesties! Add some ribbon, a rose, a small key charm, too many hours, and WAH-LAH....an adorable card.

The good news is I now have one Valentine's card left to make, but which stamp to use...which stamp to use?!!

Cutie Pie

Just a quick card I made for the GFS FFF challenge/Week 1. The challenge was to use only black, turquoise...and one other color of our choice. I chose red!

This was the perfect image for a Valentine's card for my dd who is just finishing her first semester of Home-Economics...she had to bring a pie home to finish making the crust and bake it for our family, then we were to rate/grade her on the end product. Needless to say, the pie was delish and our family of 6 finished it in no time at all. That dd of ours, she's a good baker-upper!

I broke out my old corner punch for this and really like the way it looks with the image. I added some pearls, a bow, stick pins (from J's), and some gorgeous PP that feels like fabric. I printed the image on my computer and framed it in black, then pop-dotted it. A cute card for our cutie-pie!
