FFC - FFF - Fav Holiday

How easy is this challenge...to make a card for your favorite holiday...not even a challenge really!! I used the girl from the Sweet 'n Toxic TGF set and after coloring her with Copics, I thought she looked just like candy corn...so sweet with all the white, orange, and yellow. I also used the TGF Splotchy background stamp...I'm lovin' the look of the splotches! I used a $1 stamp from my stash for the word ghouls.

A few of the little details are: I used Glossy Accents on the skull bows in her hair, found the perfect orange and black flower from a Recollections jar, added a glittery Sizzix fleur, and added black plastic dots on the side of the card.

I love all the costumes and decorations associated with Halloween, I just don't like being scared...it's a sure-fire guarantee, you'll never find me in a haunted house! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by!

FFC - FFF - Summer Lovin

So much to talk about on this card....let's get started!

I colored Surfer Anya with my Copics a couple of weeks ago, and she has sitting around waiting for the perfect little project...and when I saw that the challenge this week was to make anything summer, how perfect was my image for this one?!! Also, at the beginning of last week I used my 60% off coupon (YES, I SAID 60%!!!) to buy a battery powered mini sewing machine and while practing with it, I sewed several lines to look like waves. I set the practice piece of paper on my "ocean" shelf and said I'd find the perfect little project for it...and while putting the "waves" on the shelf I noticed my MS sea shell border punch and punched along the edge of the sewn paper. It all sat on my shelf...waiting for the perfect project! LOL!

I used my Nesties Wonky Rectangles for the frame, it's fast becoming one of my favs. I used TH distress ink on all the edges to soften the look, and I think the Honey colored ink looks fab on the shells....giving the shells the look of sand. I used Diamond Stickles on the "sand" to make it sparkle. The sun was stamped 3 times and the face was handcut to put in the middle of the rays...did you notice the Glossy Accents on the sunglasses? The sun and sentiment are from a $1 bin from that's been in my stash for a couple of years. The paper is from J's and is the Colorblok brand...don't you think the flowers in the frame sorta/kinda look like clouds?!! LOL!

Thanks for reading along, you all know how much I love to talk! :D

PS: About my beach shelf, it is filled with all things ocean related and/or aqua embellies...it is my fav part of my craft area! I always have a mermaid or two colored and sitting on the shelf...so much fun to look at!

PSS: How about you, do you sit and color images...just because you can?!! I'd love to know! :D

FFC - WOW - Black and White Color Combo

Before I start this post I think I need to explain something, I am technology challenged and find myself struggling with posting and/or leaving comments over the last couple of days, this is why...

My home computer won't let me sign into Blogger (???...I have no idea whatz up with that!)

My lap top battery continually pops-out and it is slower than molasses, every command takes at least 3 or 4 minutes.

My iPad doesn't allow me to download pictures and our router kicks me off every couple of minutes...try playing WWF like that, it's frustrating and I've stopped playing because of it. :(

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! On to one of this week's challenges at TGF....

This week's challenge was to use black and white, those were the only colors....but we were allowed to use skin tones on the images. Thank goodness...I'm not really good at monochromatic or charcoal...actually, I'm really bad at those! I used the adorable Ebony image to make this door hanger...isn't she cute? There's lots of Stickles on this card, along with Glimmer Mist, bling, and a dangling heart. I knew immediately I was going to use the Alpha Beads, they are perfect for the black and white theme.

Thanks for stopping by, I'm hoping to get all these techy probs taken care of soon!

:D

FFC - MM - CASEing Lisa

I used CC Tuesday for this challenge...she is so stinkin' cute and I think she looks good as a blonde! Her hat was paper pieced, and I used the same striped paper in the background. The sentiment says SNAP OUT OF IT and was made with my never ending supply of Dymo Tape (gotta love that stuff!) I found some buttons that were perfect for this card, and used some twine. I also stamped the crackle background on the green paper...otherwise the paper was too plain.

Thanks for stopping by!

FFC - FFF - Throwback Challenges (1)

Our challenge this week was to use a "throwback"....we couldn't use any of the new released images. Even though this is a new stamp for me, it has been out for a while. This from the Hope and Grace series...sitting on her laundry and day dreaming...isn't she the sweetest?

After looking at this card I realized that I used last weeks design again....just in a different way! LOL! The clothes are all from some of the other GFS images which are older too...except for the shorts, they are from the new Surfer Anya. I used my TH Tiny Attacher to make clothespins. The clouds were cut in felt and hand stitched onto the page. The frame was a "throwback" from another challege which I didn't have the heart to throw away, it was dry embossed with my CB and put over the image....worked out great! Lastly, the sentiment is from the Creepin Kit (thx Pam!)

Thanks for stopping by, it's always fun to hang out!

FFC - MM - CASEing Tanya Tahir

I adore how this card turned out...I love the colors and the banner, so much fun to case the fab card that Tanya Tahir posted on the GFS Gallery.

I'm loving all the celebrations surrounding the royal wedding and think every girl should feel like a princess/queen! So grab your tiara and read on...

I've had this MS crown punch for quite a while and haven't had much reason to use it, or so I thought! Then a couple of months ago I rec'd the silver beads from a swap and thought to myself, "what am I ever going to do with these?" and ever since saying that, I have used them more than I ever thought possible! All of the papers were from my "scraps" box, even the silver shiny paper that shadows the crown and banner were left-overs. The flowers and pearls were from my stash, as were the alpha stickers for QUEEN.

Such a fun card to make and I hope you agree that the regal little Stella is a stand-out on this card!

Lastly, YES....I did wake-up early to watch the royal nuptials and enjoyed every minute of them from the hats, to the dress, to the kiss! I had a crown and wore it, even took a pix of myself wearing it but have decided not to post it. "Why?" you ask? Because it was 4:30 in the morning, I had bed head and no make-up on....geesh, every queen wears lipstick, no matter what! LOL!

FFC - FFF - I {heart} Mom!

Buona Festa della Mamma translates to Happy Mother's Day! Thank goodness for Google/Translator....my in-laws always appreciate it when I try to fit in! LOL!

I used a new 4x6 DCWV stack I found at Joann's, it has some of the prettiest papers in it...the stack is called Lemon Flower. I also used a MS border punch, glitter paper for the Lacey Circles Nestie, some very old K&Co chipboard flowers, a Sizzix flourish die, lots of Copics, ribbon, pearls, and a CG sentiment.

I have to say...if you don't have a Bow Easy, you don't know what you're missing!

I'll have a few more projects to post this week...seems I've been busy in my craft area lately, lucky me!
