This is a quick reminder that there's still plenty of time for you to join us over at
Wicked Wednesday for our weekly ATC challenge, and if you didn't guess...the theme is Flying Things. I bet if you put your thinking cap on you could come up with
SOMETHING that flies...butterflies, planes, angels, maybe even shoes...or would that just be
inside of my house?!! LOL!

This ATC started out as a simple thought...to make hot air balloons using the Prima stencil that's been taped to the side of my craft desk for over a year. I found a nice thick piece of Bazzill cardstock that wouldn't warp while being sprayed with
LSG Starburst Frosted-Forget-Me-Nots. After spritzing it I didn't think the image was going to show up as much as I wanted so I grabbed a bottle of LSG Starburst Blue Hawaiian Blue and spritz the ATC again. I LOVED the effect and color, but to my dismay (or so I thought) when I took the stencil off I realized the spray had bled under the stencil, causing this mottled look. Squeee...I really LOVED this effect even more! I quickly blotted all the excess liquid away and dried the image with my heating tool, then I put the stencil back in place and used some TH Bundled Sage Distress Ink to hightlight a few of the balloons. I didn't want to do too much more to this, so I grabbed my white Signo pen and did a little outlining. I used
TGF's The Sky's the Limit set to stamp the cloud outline a couple of times and used the sentiment from the same set to stamp around the edges. I wish you could see how shiny and glitzy this ATC is in RL, this is one of my favorites to date!
This fits right into 365 Cards challenge for
Day 16: Color Scheme
Thanks for stopping by, hope you can join us over at
Wicked Wednesday for another fun and easy challenge!
