WW #137 Happy Creepy Christmas

Challenge: #137 Happy Creepy Holidays
Sponsor: Delicious Doodles
Image: Holly Sugar Skull

This was one of those times that I really had to challenge myself to make this ATC and was more than happy when it was finished. For some reason I keep trying to use the color purple on ATC's and beause purple is my least favorite color....I keep thinking I can figure out how to use it. The image was colored with Copics and outlined with BV02. I used BV00 to color the entired ATC background. A Christmas border, rhinestones, and acrylic JOY were added. The finished look is nice but not very creepy.

If you check out the Wicked Wednesday blog you can see some creatively creepy ATCs by my teamies...such a talented group of girls who put their own spin on every challenge.  You can link your ATC projects HERE, just make sure it's uploaded by 7:00 pm EST next Tuesday evening.

***************************
Christmas is fast approaching! Tomorrow we are going to get our daughter at college....it's a 10 hour round trip which makes for a long day, especially since it gets dark so early. It'll be nice to have her home for winter break. When she was home for Thanksgiving I asked her to draw our Christmas card this year....she used a "stylized" style and did our entire family portrait on her laptop. She sent me a copy and I said to my hubs, "this doesn't look anything like us, yet it freakishly looks like us!" I LOVE this card, not only because I look 20 years younger, but we have shoulders like linebackers, and most of us are armless. Check out the matching sweaters!

Happy Wednesday, the days will be getting longer soon!

WW #136 Happy Holidays

Challenge: HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Sponsor: A Day for Daisies
Image: Christmas Tree Fairy

I have to tell you...I absolutely adore this image and found her so much fun to color (with Copics of course!) After outlining her with BG10, the stars were stenciled with Gelatos and the snowflakes were stamped in Momento London Fog and the edges were inked in Weathered Wood DI. A white gel pen was used to outline and splatter, and her wings were Stickle-fied. The sentiment and star stamps are both from Recollections.

What a fun challenge at Wicked Wednesday, we'd love to have you join us! This challenge runs through next Tuesday evening, 7:00 pm EST. Feel free to click HERE to link your ATC and to check out what my teamies came up with....they always make me say, "I wish I had thought of that!"

WW #135 You're a Star

Challenge: #135 You're a Star
Sponsor: Kenny K
Image: City Star Christmas

The image was colored with Copics, outlined with a white gel pen, then outlined again with a black Sharpie. The red and pink stripes were hand drawn, then pink acrylic paint was smudged around the edges. Chipboard stars and a star stencil were used to add to the star theme....along with a touch of glitter.

There's plenty of time to get your craft on and join us in this fun challenge at Wicked Wednesday, feel free to link your ATC HERE. This challenge runs until 7:00 pm EST next Tuesday evening.

I was just looking at the calendar and thought there is not enough time over the next couple of days to finish everything  that needs to get done....do you ever feel that way? Buying presents, wrapping them, writing cards is so much better than cleaning, cooking, and more cleaning! I'm trying to keep it stress free and hope you are too.
