Marjorie's Challenge

I was telling my friend Marjorie that I have been unmotivated lately, so she challenged the both of us to make a post-it note holder from THIS tutorial. It's such a good tutorial that it hardly took any time to finish, making for an easy peasy project. You can see Marjorie's take on her challenge HERE. LOL, the things Bestie's do for each other!

I used an image from Michele Perkett called Juniper and Cecilia that I colored with Copics a couple of years ago when my family went on vacation in Door County. The green skirt was a different color but I just used my handy dandy YG11 to color over it...you would never know it was purple at one time.

The doily was a gift from Marjorie and inked with DI in Spun Sugar
DP is MME Bramble Rose
Flowers, skeleton leaves, ribbon, bling, and Viva Paper Pens were also used.

CHALLENGES:
I found a new blog I'm pretty excited about called Clear it Out Challenge Blog....the name of the blog speaks for itself and I'm always up to the challenge of using what I have.

I hope you have a great Thursday!

WW #133 Falling for Fall

The challenge this week at Wicked Wednesday is Falling for Fall ...our sponsor is Sami Stamps and the image they provided is called Acorn Harvest.

After coloring the image with Copics I masked it so I could use my new mini stencil from Just a Trace...it's so small and perfect for ATCs. I used gesso tinted with Gelatos for the color. Spica Glitter pens were used, along with alpha stamps and a white Signo pen for detailing. When done I sealed the entire ATC with Modge Podge infused with gold glitter...a stunning look, but the shine made it hard to get a good picture.

Feel free to click HERE to upload your ATC and to check out the Wicked Wednesday Falling for Fall challenge that runs until 7:00 pm EST next Tuesday evening. We'd love to have you join us!

Just one more week until Thanksgiving! This will be the first year in 15 years that I will not be cooking and our family will be going to my hub's relatives. I'm already sad because we'll miss some of our favorite holiday dishes. On the plus side....I won't miss the extra cleaning!

Happy Wednesday my crafty friends!

NOEL

It feels good to create again, even if it is something as simple as a card and this week I actually made two projects....WOOT! I'm on a roll!

I have had scraps of 4 x 4 pieces of paper with circles cut out of them from a previous project sitting on my desk for over a month. I didn't want to part with the negative pieces for a couple of reasons.....I had too many and knew they would come in handy AND I loved the DP. As soon as I saw the challenge at PDE I thought they would be perfect for a banner. Then I saw this week's sketch at DS#177 and knew this project was meant to be. This is what I came up with and I have the perfect place in mind for it...just in time for the holidays!

The letters where cut from the Cricut Storybook cartridge and pop-dotted. The Santa image is from a $1 JoAnn stamp and wet embossed with white opaque EP. Mesh bling, glitter, ribbons, twine, circle Nesties, scallop punch, CS, and mat board were used. Check out the felt covered jingle bells that I found at Michael's a few years ago which are hanging off of a TH swivel clasp. This bow would never exist without a Bow Easy.

Seriously, if I know I'm going to put glitter on a project why wouldn't I just use glitter paper instead of running it through a Xyron and pour glitter all over it? I asked myself that twice this week.

CHALLENGES:
PDE (Linky party): Banners
Anything But a Card: #41 Anything Goes
Hiding in My Craft Room: #173 Super Scraps Saturday
Deconstructed Sketch:  #177 ( sketch used for the letter O)

I love these challenges, they keep me motivated!
Happy Friday,
happy weekend.

WW #132 Something Sweet or Hearts

Wicked Wednesday Challenge #132: Something Sweet or Hearts
Sponsor: A Random Fan
Image: Baker Arie

How funny that I was driving to see my mother today, listening to the radio and guess what song came on the radio? Yes, Def Leppard was singing, "pour some sugar on me." Too funny! Did you notice the music note background? If you paid very close attention you'll notice it was stamped upside down...unintentionally.

This fun challenges run until 7:00 pm EST next Tuesday evening. You can link your ATC  at the Wicked Wednesday challenge blog HERE. We'd love to have you join us!

Pink skull is a rub-on that was applied to white CS, then fussy cut.
Edges inked in DI Peeled Paint
