I'm so happy to announce that today is my 1st official post as part of the DT for the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog! What a surprise it was when I opened the email from Jenn and she asked if I would be interested in joining the DT...would I be interested??? I'd almost consider that crazy talk...of course I was interested and honored!
How fun that the 1st challenge I'm joining is about CELEBRATING ART and we have the adorable Toby-Painter Digi image from The Greeting Farm to work with. I don't think this will come as a surprise to anyone when I say that TGF is a company I'm head over heels in love with and have always enjoyed working with their images. I colored Toby with Copics, and then used watercolor pencils with an aqua pen for the rainbow. I wish you could see the glitter in a couple of opposite corners as it really adds a lot of pizazz to this ATC.
Stamps:
TGF: Toby-Painter (Digi)
Inkadinkado: Friendly Advice
I hope you'll join myself and the rest of the WW DT by participating in some of the weekly challenges, and when you do I guarantee you'll find it hard to stop at making just one...I know I do almost every week.
As always, don't forget to leave a comment and let me know you stopped by...I love chatting with friends, old and new!

Twitterpated
Here's a little card I made for a couple of different challenges, it was very easy and lots of fun to make. For the sentiment I used the word TWITTERPATED, remember it from the movie Bambi? I thought about changing it to TWEET-ERPATED but wasn't sure if anyone would get it...I'm not even sure if I got it?!! LOL!
Stamp:
Dilly Beans: #301 Winter Bird Digi
Challenges:
Dilly Beans: In Stitches
Paper Playtime: #68 Pets! And add a Sentiment!
Thanks for stopping by and leaving all the wonderful comments, they really do brighten my day.

Frannie's Confirmation
This is a very quick card that I needed to make for my newphew's confirmation which is tomorrow. I used Jen Shults' DS #40 for inspiration...and to be quite honest, her Guest DT Amy Sheffer used brown DP on her showcase card and I thought to myself..."that's perfect, it's just what my card needs too!" I'm just letting you know it's not my original thought, nor am I taking credit for it...but it did work great on this card.
I think this card looks plain in the picture, but with all the embossing and pop-dotting of the cross it really isn't. If your wondering why I put a butterfly on a boy's card it's because he's all about BUGS...you wouldn't believe his butterfly collection, it's absolutely stunning!
Thanks for stopping by, it's always fun to visit with a friend or two.

Happy 20th Nico! :-)
Here's a quick card I made for my son's birthday, who turned 20 yesterday and really is a great kid...if (only) I was 20 again, I'd want to be his friend! I thought Logan from TGF was a perfect choice because of the hoodie...it seems my son has a collection of hoodies and thinks EVERY outfit should include one, whether it's 5 or 85 degrees outside.
I tried to combine a couple of challenges for this card and really found them to be very challenging...I like bright colors but not particularly primary, and I thought the sketch was well...too easy...UNTIL I tried it with primary colors! LOL!
Stamp:
TGF: WS Logan
Challenges:
TGF: Monday Funday #21 - Primary Colors
Simon Says Stamp: Use 3 Different Papers

Happy 80th
Next week marks my mother-in-law's 80th birthday and sometimes a cutsie card isn't the "right" card, if you know what I mean and thought this image was a tad more appropriate. I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned this before but I honestly believe that I have some of the best in-laws ever...they welcomed me into the family with open arms over 25 years ago, and I have blessed ever since.
A couple of weeks ago I noticed that Kim Yu was starting a monthly sketch challenge on her blog and thought I'd give it a try...I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do with it until I pulled out some K&Co Speciality DP and it all went together nicely. Along with Kim's sketch, there's another great challenge at the Kraft Journal this week and it's all about "fabulous finds" and I have to tell you that finding this gorgeous DP at the local Goodwill for a couple of dollars was a fab find!
Challenges:
Kim Yu: Sketch #1
The Kraft Journal: Fantastic Finds
Stamps:
Crafty Secrets: Sew Special
Cloud 9: Happy Birthday
Thanks for stopping by and leaving comments, it's always fun hearing from everyone.

Red
In addition to the challenge at Dilly Beans to make a "red" card I challenged myself to start using up some of the paper that's been hanging around my craft area for a couple of years...my challenge was to use two or more different lines of DP...I chose Marcella and Penny Lane. I ended up using a couple of other colors and really like the green and red together...I don't think it looks Christmas-sy at all, at least I hope not. The butterflies are from 3 different MS punches and each one is layered 2 or 3 times, a couple of them were dabbed on a glue pad and glittered...surprised?!! The sketch is another of Jen Shults' sketches and if you haven't checked out her challenges yet you really should...and wait until you see what her DT dreams up!!
Challenges:
Dilly Beans: Seeing Red
Flutter By Wednesdays: #190 Anything with Wings
Deconstructed Sketch: Sketch #39
Stamps:
Dilly Beans: #185 Angel - Digi
Fiskars: Cloud 9 Simple Thoughts Happy Birthday

Smile Tag :-)
What a great week, the fact that I've been able to include so many of my fav challenge blogs into one project...it makes me smile!
For Simon Says Stamp we are to make a tag and to use TH products, I used distress inks, a fragment, trinket pin, adage ticket, and some tissue tape which was colored pink with Copics.
The Stamping Boutique was looking for stitching, and Totally Paper Crafts wanted us to use ribbon or a bow on our projects.
365 Days asked us to put a paperclip on our projects...who doesn't love a box of multi-colored coated paperclips?!!
Wicked Wednesday's ATC challenge was to use a word or phrase...I fell in love with the Friendly Advice sentiments the minute I saw them a few years ago and use them when I can.
Monday Funday at TGF is looking for red and pink this week...this adorable H&G image was colored with watercolor pencils and mineral spirits.
Put everything together and this is what you get:
Challenges:
TGF: Monday Funday #20 Happy {Heart} Day
365 Days: Day 352 Paperclipped
Wicked Wednesday: #19 Quotes and Words
Simon Says Stamp: Tag it!
The Stamping Boutique: #26 - Stitching
Totally Paper Crafts: #104 - Ribbons &/or Bows
Stamps:
TGF: Hope & Grace Snuggle
TGF: Heart Background
Inkadinkado: Friendly Advice
Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great day!

A Couple of Love Themed ATC's
The theme for this week's challenge at Wicked Wednesday ATC Weekly Challenge Blogis Hearts/Love which is so appropriate since Valentine's Day is just a few days away...and how fun for me to join the challenge because I just LOVE making these ATC's!
I couldn't stop at just one this week, lol, so here's the 1st ATC made from a stamp I found at The Dollar Store a few years ago...not sure who it was made by but I really like this image. Instead of putting glitter on the wings, I put the glitter on the blue sky....it really is pretty look.
Here's the 2nd ATC and as simple as it looks, there really were a lot of steps from start to finish but I think it was worth it.
Challenges for the week:
Wicked Wednesday: #18 - Hearts/Love
Stamps:
Crafty Secrets: Cherubs
CTMH: Sweet Seasons
Prima: Fillagree
As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!

Valentine's Bag
I've been itching to get my Cricut out lately, so when the monthly Cricut challenge at Paper Playtime came along I jumped on it, especially since I'm in need of a gift bag for this weekend. I bought the cartridge Plantin specifically for this bag...and find it's one of my all time favorite "go to" cuts. In case you're wondering about the heart in the middle of the bag, it was added through DS and the negative was used as one of the embellishments.
I also made sure I followed the rules at Flutter By Wednesday, in addition to having a butterfly, fairy or angel on our projects...their challenge this week is all about LOVE, a recipe of sorts:
L = 2 or more Layers
O = have an Odd number of embellishments
V = have the color Violet on your creation
E = any color Except red
I hope a Cherub will do for the required butterfly, fairy or angel.
Here's a close-up of some of the violet I added, a cute little bow made of twine from The Twinery.
Thanks for stopping by, and here are the challenges that I'm entering my project in this week.
Challenges:
Paper Playtime: Ch# 67 - Cricut Creations with Hearts/Love Theme
Flutter By Wednesday: Challenge #189

Crafty Secrets: Cherubs

XOXO
Babette has been hanging around in my craft area colored and waiting to go ever since her release a few months ago, so I took the opportunity to finish one more Valentine's Day card and thought I'd join in a couple of challenges along the way...to add stitching and use mismatched papers on a project.
I love sewing on cards but do not love hauling out my bulky machine everytime I use it, until recently when I discovered I can still sew with it while it's in the base of it's carrying case...saving me the time and muscle of having to take it out of it's case. Why didn't I think of this before?!! Oh, how I envy those with their totable Janome's!!
For some reason I think this card looks like it has a lot of empty space, it must be the picture because everytime I look at it in RL I can't think of anything else I want to add to it....if only you could see this beautiful glittery/glitzy SEI DP...it really is perfect for this gorgeous young lady.
Challenges:
TGF: Monday Funday #19 Stitching
365 Days: #343 Mismatched
Stamps:
TGF: Blush Babbette
TGF: Bantastic
SEI DP, Copics, Recollections flowers, pearls, ribbon
Thanks for stopping by, I love hearing from all of you!

TGF - Lucky in Love
Eeeeeek....I have 1 hour to post this before the deadline! I've known about this challenge for a couple of weeks and started on it right away but set it aside to do "other things." I looked at the challenge again last night and realized I had until noon CDT today...I had to get crackin' this morning to finish it.
This is a mini for my hubby for Valentine's Day using the adorable Cheeky Glamour, I think she's perfect for this theme's challenge LUCKY IN LOVE! The mini was made with K&Co. valentine DP that I got a year ago. I'm not sure of the name of the paper but it came with a sheet of mini valentines which are adorable and I used them on the inside of this mini. There are four tags with tulle and flowers...perfect for a little love note or two!
This is a close-up of a small charm I made a year ago thinking I was going to use it for a different project...but gosh, it works perfect here!
Thanks for stopping by, hope everyone has a great day!

Zombie Love
The challenge at Dilly Beans this week is Zombie Love and how lucky for me that the free digi for the Silly Dilly Stamp Club was a zombie with hearts...perfect timing! I haven't colored too many of these images yet and feel like I'm just getting my feet wet with them, but I do know that I have soooooooooo much to learn when it comes to coloring. I thought I'd give Jen Shults sketch #37 a try...what a fun sketch and if you haven't seen Jen's coloring, you should take a look at her blog....AWESOME!
I used SEI DP, a MS punch, Copics, ribbon, TH mini-stapler, embossed paper heart from my stash, bling, and the sentiment was CG...EYE think it's cute, lol.
Stamps:
Dilly Beans: #255 Framed Zombie Hearts 4
Challenges:

...To Call You Friend
This is a sweet card I made for a friend and I'm hoping she likes it when she gets it in the mail on Valentine's Day....shhhh, she might be reading this.
How awesome that Tracey at TSB gives a free digi to her followers once a week...and this image Telephone-2 is one of those freebies. I used double-sided K&Co DP that had butterflies on it, and after laying the base to my card down I fussy-cut some of the butterflies and pop-dotted them...perfect for the Flutter By Wednesday Challenge! The sentiment is CG.

Mermaid ATC
When I saw this week's challenge at Wicked Wednesday to make a mermaid ATC I smiled and immediately began to day dream of being at the ocean...ohhhh, the surf and sun...my all-time favorite vacation destination! IF, and that is a big IF, I had a craft area with finished walls each wall would be a different shade of the ocean because I wouldn't be able to make up my mind which color I like best, I luv all shades of blue and aqua.
Here is my ATC using TSB's digi Dawn image, I think she's gorgeous. The sentiment is a sticker and to be serious, I still love using stickers....I just don't want them to look like stickers?!! LOL!

Simple Valentine
Here's a fun sketch that I found at 365 Days challenge blog, it's from their weekly Super Sketchy Sundays.
Both the hearts and ticket are from TGF's Tea-riffic Clear Set and I have to admit that this is one of my favorite clear sets of theirs as I think the sentiments and fonts are a perfect match. I used October Afternoon and DCWV DPs, along with kraft paper...it really has a homespun feel to it, don't you think?
