This is a very quick card that I needed to make for my newphew's confirmation which is tomorrow. I used Jen Shults' DS #40 for inspiration...and to be quite honest, her Guest DT Amy Sheffer used brown DP on her showcase card and I thought to myself..."that's perfect, it's just what my card needs too!" I'm just letting you know it's not my original thought, nor am I taking credit for it...but it did work great on this card.
I think this card looks plain in the picture, but with all the embossing and pop-dotting of the cross it really isn't. If your wondering why I put a butterfly on a boy's card it's because he's all about BUGS...you wouldn't believe his butterfly collection, it's absolutely stunning!
Thanks for stopping by, it's always fun to visit with a friend or two.

You might get a double comment from me, I was typing and then it just disappeared! I was saying how beautiful this is and what a great use of the sketch! Love the dry embossing and sentiment sponging details especially. Great idea to add the butterfly for your nephew, too! Glad you played along with the Deconstructed Sketch!
Very cool! Love the textures! Those are the kind of occasions that can be tricky to make things for. Great card!
Very nice! Is the cross a cutfile? I love colors you used and the texture is great, too! Very nice job on the sketch!
