January GD @ Y&F Handmade/Challenge #8

Pinch me! It's true...I was asked to be the January GD for Yumi & Fumi Handmade...talk about A-dorable images which are so much fun to color and are perfect for so many different occasions. Even though it's not quite January, I was asked to make a little something for an introduction post at Y&FH and this is what I came up with.

I used Fumi with Fan for this card which is for Y&F Challenge #8 that goes until Jan 5th....you can use either Kim Yu's sketch and/or the color combo of red/camel/white...both of which are below.

Being the December Guest DT at Sparkle Creations  has flown by, and it's been lot's of fun coloring these fabulous images...THANKS to Sparkle and the DT for being so warm and welcoming! Don't forget that you still have a few more days to save 20% on these fun and fabulous images...you can check them out HERE.

I thought I'd color up one more of these adorable SCRS images....I used the Ice Skating Chloe set, which includes both the image and this wonderful sentiment. CUTE!!!!

Once the image was colored, I started looking for a sketch when a paper copy of this sketch fell off the shelf above me (hmmm, should I organize the shelf?!)....not only is it a great sketch, but the colors matched my image perfectly! I pretty much cased everything from this fab Kim Yu sketch.

Journal #3 for Elyse

Thank goodness my shopping is done, all of the Christmas cards and packages have been mailed...and tomorrow will be dedicated to spending the entire day wrapping presents.  That leaves me with making cookies at the end of the week for a cookie exchange I'm heading to on Friday, then cleaning over the weekend.  I'm sure I can squeeze in a few hours to finish up on the last couple of journals I still need to make.

This journal is for our niece Elyse...she's energetic, athletic, independant, sweet, silly, and fun!

I used this week's sketch at Anyone for Anya and flipped it to show how I worked with it.  TGF's Soccer Anya was printed twice in orange and once in blue, with the blue Anya being fussy cut and centered between her two orange team mates. Because I printed the images in two different colors I didn't feel the need to color them...making for a quick and easy project.

This post is going to be short and sweet...as I've got those journals I mentioned earlier, along with a few other projects to work on. Thanks for stopping by and leaving such nice comments...they really do make my day.
