WW #113 Charmed

Has anyone else been having trouble leaving blogger comments from their phone?

We have a wonderful challenge starting at Wicked Wednesday....all you have to do is have a charm on your ATC. Our sponsor is Delicious Doodles and they generously provided the entire DT with a couple of images....I chose this fabulous skull wreath digi.

 

The image was fussy cut, then several layers of pine boughs were added behind it....along with some dripping blood. The eyes were colored red and transparent Viva Paper Pen was applied. I thought this skullie would work like a charm (hee hee) to fulfill the challenge obligation.

I have been planning on making a HOLIDAY PLANNER for a friend and had the inserts printed and pre-cut...ready and waiting for the day I had a few extra minutes to work on it. This is what I came up with...

FBW #259 Any Winged Creature

 

This week's challenge at FBW is Any Winged Creature, which means a butterfly and/or fairy is NOT required. If you look closely you will see which winged creatures I used....some low flying bats in a fun shaker wall hanging. Every time I walk by this wall hanging I have to shake it...I love the noise and movement.

 

 

Dilly Beans images were used, #483-Monsters and #477-Bats. About 8 of these bats were printed, colored, fussy cut and included in the shaker...I thought they would be cute flying around with all of the beads. The orange and black seed beads were gifted to me over a year ago, along with other small beads that were added to make this a fun...not too scary...wall hanging. 

 

Also used were a MS blood dripping border punch, along with a Spellbinders fence die. DP is from Paper Studio.

FBW #256 - Recipe

This week at Flutter By Wednesday we have an interesting challenge...it is a RECIPE requiring everyone to use 3 patterened papers, 3 embellishments and sparkle on your card/project.  Just make sure you include a butterfly or fairy...it's easy to forget while concentrating on all of the other details.

 

 

I think I've got all of the requirements covered! I used the brand new Cheeky Fairy digi from TGF....she's adorable and was colored with Copics. Five different layers were punched and stacked for the Whimsy Stamps sentiment. The DP is My Sunshine by DCWV and is presently one of my favorite pads...I love the colors!!

I'm heading to a scrapbook retreat in a couple of weeks and wanted to bring a little "something something" for my fellow crafters and this is what I came up with....eighteen little treat holders filled with strips of mesh bling!

 

 

All images are from A Little Bit of Magic Fairies by Sweet November Stamps. There are 9 different images in the set and the tallest is only 2", which makes them perfect for these little treat holders.

FBW's HB 2 Danni Blog Hop

After a 2 month hiatus it's nice to be fluttering with Flutter By Wednesday again, and it looks like I'm just in time because today is the second day of a 2 day fluttery blog hop celebrating Danni's (owner/creator of FBW) birthday! Yesterday a group of her friends got together for a hop...can you say AMAZING?! If you missed it, be sure to visit the Flutter By Wednesday for all the information.

My project is a 5" by 6.5" journal notepad and a 3" x 5.5" tag.  Both of these are some of my favorite projects to make because I can embellish as much, or as little as I want. The butterflies are rub-ons...no coloring for me today! The flowers were made with my TH rosette die, and the Celebrate and Happiness tags have been in my stash for quite a few years. The ribbon, twine, and tulle are standard journal/tag toppers for me and I seem to have a vast supply of all three.

 

Along with the hop, we hope that you'll also join this week's challenge at FBW which is ANYTHING GOES...as long as you include a butterfly or fairy! A little butterfly told us that if the challenge gets over 100 entries there will be a prize!!

FBW # 246 Summer

This week's challenge at Flutter By Wednesday is SUMMER themed, what's not to love about this challenge?!! The rules are very simple and you can see them HERE, but the most important rule is that there is a butterfly or fairy on your project.

FBW #244 CAS

Flutter By Wednesday has another fun challenge this week...to make a CAS card! Not only are you to include a butterfly/fairy but you are also to make it Clean and Simple. You can see all of the challenge rules HERE.

 

 

I used TH tissue tape to hold the DP in place, then added a sentiment and epoxy sticker...of course I couldn't stop with just that and added a row of rub-on pink polka dots.  What's not to love about a CAS card?!!

I am kind of of bragging when I say my fellow teamies are extremely good with this CAS challenge...you can see their fab cards AND link your project HERE. But hurry, you only have until midnight (PST) next Tuesday, June 18th.

FBW #242...a little RECIPE

This week at Flutter By Wednesday we have a RECIPE challenge....you must have a butterfly, flower, and die cut/punch on your project.

 

Are you looking at my card and wondering where the die cut is? It is a plain circle cut out of DP that I used for the rolled flower. Yes, you could say that is sneaky, but it is there! The butterflies are glittery stickers that I've had for years.  I kept my card fairly CAS using Deconstructed Sketch #102.

FBW #241 May Sketch

Once again at Flutter By Wednesday we have a fabulous sketch by our own FBW Sketch Designer Kathy Curry and gosh, did I have a great time working with it! I have a feeling the rest of the DT enjoyed this sketch as much because they did such an awesome job with this week's challenge...so many fluttering butterflies and fairies!

 

  

This gorgeous image is by Magenta, and all DP is from my box of scraps. When I decided to finish the inside of this card, I also added a few Martha Stewart punched butterflies in yellow on the outside to the right side of this card...I sure wish I had taken a picture of it with the added butterflies because it really did add a bit of "pop" to this card. All in all, my mother-in-law loved this on Mother's Day!

 

As I said earlier, my teamies did an awesome job on this sketch which you can see while you're linking your challenge project HERE. This challenge runs thru 7:00 pst next Tuesday evening.

FBW #240 Buttons

We have a fabulous challenge starting today over at Flutter By Wednesday and it's all about BUTTONS. Besides having the required fairy and/or butterfly, you'll also need to have buttons on your project.

 I used Michele Perkett's Daydream Fantasy image. The buttons are vintage and are from my mother's button box that has been collecting buttons for years. I always find it to be a lot of fun searching through the box because of the wonderful sound the buttons make when I rifle through them.
