Marjorie's Challenge

I was telling my friend Marjorie that I have been unmotivated lately, so she challenged the both of us to make a post-it note holder from THIS tutorial. It's such a good tutorial that it hardly took any time to finish, making for an easy peasy project. You can see Marjorie's take on her challenge HERE. LOL, the things Bestie's do for each other!

I used an image from Michele Perkett called Juniper and Cecilia that I colored with Copics a couple of years ago when my family went on vacation in Door County. The green skirt was a different color but I just used my handy dandy YG11 to color over it...you would never know it was purple at one time.

The doily was a gift from Marjorie and inked with DI in Spun Sugar
DP is MME Bramble Rose
Flowers, skeleton leaves, ribbon, bling, and Viva Paper Pens were also used.

FBW #261 Open

This week's challenge at Flutter By Wednesday is OPEN...just make sure you have a butterfly or fairy on your project. I used the stunning Lilly Fairy of Enchantment image by Michele Perkett for my tag, and as detailed as this image is, it was quite easy to color.

I have been planning on making a HOLIDAY PLANNER for a friend and had the inserts printed and pre-cut...ready and waiting for the day I had a few extra minutes to work on it. This is what I came up with...

DP: K&Co
Ink: Momento, Copics, Marvy LePlume
Pocket Planner free printable from OrganizedChristmas.com

Behind the tag is a freebie notepad that came in the mail a couple of weeks ago

Handmade tags are included

Inchies from a 3 yr old swap were put on the back of the tags,
a small envelope was made from vellum using ZooBalloo

Jingle bells attached to a clip for receipts and misc. items

FBW #240 Buttons

We have a fabulous challenge starting today over at Flutter By Wednesday and it's all about BUTTONS. Besides having the required fairy and/or butterfly, you'll also need to have buttons on your project.

I used Michele Perkett's Daydream Fantasy image. The buttons are vintage and are from my mother's button box that has been collecting buttons for years. I always find it to be a lot of fun searching through the box because of the wonderful sound the buttons make when I rifle through them.
Feel free to link your project  HERE, and to see some of the fabulous inspirational cards by the Flutter By Wednesday DT.
Thanks for stopping by, happy Wednesday.

FBW #217 Open

At Flutter By Wednesday we know that December is usually busy and with keeping that in mind, we are leaving all of our weekly challenges OPEN this month...which means you can enter any project as long as you have a butterfly and/or fairy on it.

Our Sponsor this week is Di's Digi Downloads, and in the spirit of giving they are offering a $10 gift voucher to their on-line store....can you say Ho Ho Ho!!!

For this week's challenge I used the fabulous Juniper and Cecilia image from Michelle Perkett and paired it with Theresa Collins Fabrications DP. Mesh bling, a gorgeous flower, and some stamped leaves complete this card. Also, you might recognize this Deconstructed Sketch #69 from September...you can find all of Jen's sketches in her archive files HERE.

Deconstructed Sketch No. 69

I know schedules are getting tighter and crafting time might be harder to find during these hectic days, but if you can squeeze in a few minutes of card making....we'd love to have you join us this week at Flutter By Wednesday. Feel free to link up HERE.

FBW #215 Sketch by Kathy

This week's challenge at Flutter By Wednesday is to use this wonderful sketch by our own Sketch Designer Kathy Curry. If you've never tried one of her sketches I have to tell you, they are easy to work with and ALWAYS have wonderful results.

This sketch along with a butterfly and/or fairy....that's all you need to join us this week!

I decided to use Kathy's sketch to make a little notebook for myself because I was having trouble keeping track of some of my favorite weekly challenges and DT obligations....I know an on-line calendar works nicely, but I'm one who has to actually write it down to remember it. That's what this was made for....I love it and use it almost daily, I really like knowing I'm keeping everything in one place.

I'm such a fan of Michele Perkett's digi images and used her wonderful Lily the Fairy Enchantment image for this week's challenge. The DP is from Theresa Collin's Fabrication line and MME's _?_ line.  I used my BIA to bind the 4.25" x 5.5" pages and made a page marker with ribbon and a butterfly charm.  And if you can image...lots of glitter in all the right places.

You have until next Tuesday Evening to join us in this fun challenge, feel free to link up HERE...and don't forget to check out how my teamies used this wonderful sketch....you will be inspired.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a happy and blessed Thanksgiving!

WW Birthday/Anniversary Reminder

The Birthday/Anniversary party is still going on at Wicked Wednesday so you don't have to fret that you might have missed it because you have a few more days to join in the fun! The theme is Birthday/Anniversary/One....simple and easy AND don't forget that there are some wonderful prizes to be had. You can  check out all the rules and upload HERE.

I made a couple of ATC's for this reminder post using images from two of our prize sponsors this week.  Up first is a fun ATC that was made using the Skull & Crow Cupcake image from Dilly Beans. I added some V.E.R.Y old birthday confetti stickers and lots of sparkly glitter to give this ATC a party feel, I even put a party hat on the crow, fun!

Next up is this wonderful Art Deco Birthday image by Michelle Perkett...she's so pretty and elegant.  I love all of the butterflies on her dress so much that I added a few more  using one of my MS butterfly punches.

Please feel free to join us in congratulating Jenn on Wicked Wednesday's 1st year anniversary and wish her continued success...she really is a wonderful and generous gal!

Flutter By Wednesday - 206 Sketch

This is the sketch that everyone at Flutter By Wednesday is working with this week, it is by fellow teamie Kathy Curry. I used this fabulous Michele Perkett digi image called Daydream Fantasy and paired it with some gorgeous double-sided MME Dolled Up DP. Copic glitter pens were used on the grapes and leaves which are so pretty and sparkly in person.

FYI: Be prepared to see a lot more of this wonderful image as is it was one of a few that I took on vacation with me and I would sit and color during our downtime or in the evenings. I must have colored this 7 or 8 different ways. Eeeek!

We would love to have you join us at Flutter By Wednesday for this weeks challenge, all you have to do is use the above sketch and include a butterfly or fairy on your project. You can link up HERE, and while you're there you can find more inspiration from my fellow teamies!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving all the sweet comments, they are a bright spot in my day.

**************************************************************

Are you feeling blue? I sure hope not, even though that is what this week’s challenge at Wicked Wednesday is all about...Feeling Blue!

This fabulous image called Elisa the Queen was provided by our sponsor this week, Michelle Perkett Studios and I can’t think of a better BLUE image than a mermaid by the ocean. Blue skies, blue water....{happy sigh}...I think I’m dreaming in blue, which is one of my favorite colors!

The rest of the DT and myself would love to have you join us in this fun ATC challenge which you can find HERE, but you only have until 7:00 pm next Tuesday evening to enter...we’d love to see what you create when you’re Feeling Blue!

Thanks for stopping and hope to see you over at Wicked Wednesday.

Wicked Wednesday Easter ATC

This adorable bunny is called Harvey the Easter Bunny by Michelle Perkett Studio and you have the chance to win him by participating in this week's Wicked Wednesday EASTER challenge.

After masking the image I stamped over it with Momento ink and a Harlequins background stamp, then sprayed the ATC with LSG Scintillating Silver Glitz Spritz. You would think I'd know by now that printer ink will bleed when it gets wet, but noooooooo....I keep trying it week after week after week! After the cardstock dried I outlined the smeared parts with my fine tip black marker and added some Viva Paper Pen pearls. The image was colored with Copics and in my usual fashion, glitter was added to the hat, collar, and eggs.

We'd love to see you joining us at Wicked Wednesdays, you have until next Tuesday evening to join in this EASTER challenge.
