WW #90 June Wedding Reminder

I just realized I forgot to post for Wicked Wednesday's June Wedding challenge last Wednesday....aaaack!!! Here is my forgotten ATC using the adorable I Cherryish You image from 2 Cute Ink, who is our sponsor this week.

 

 

Secondly, this is my Saturday reminder ATC, which I think is appropriate to add to my on-going monthly ATC calendar. The wedding apparel is from wedding DP I've had for quite a few years. I fussy cut, glued, and outlined the finery with various inks and markers. The calender stamp is from CTMH, and the hearts are from TGF's Bean collection.

Y&FH Hang Loose Release Day! (picture heavy)

Happy Y&FH Hang Loose Release Day!!!

 

Aloha! I hope you've been enjoying the previews of the Hang Loose series at the Y&FH blog these past couple of days. If you have, you'll know Leanne and the rest of the DT have been busy showing these adorable new images off.

 

I decided to use almost all of the images in one project to make a mixed media journal cover. I feel it is necessary to say that I am in no way an expert on mixed media, I just like using all of the products and will sit for extended periods of time coloring and painting and outlining.

 

The images and sentiments were stamped on a piece of watercolor paper and after coloring them, gesso was applied over the entire page.  Multiple colored Gelatos were used for a rainbow effect...because I always think of rainbows when I think of Hawaii. Additional images were colored and fussy cut, and after gluing a few of them to the page, gesso was applied again.

 

 

 Additional stamping, chipboard letters, and DP were added.

 

  

TH Fragments and Glossy Accents were used to make charms, but after deciding they were too large to use as charms I glued them onto the cover.

 

 

After a few more layers, this is the finished journal.

WW # 86 On the Playground Reminder

 

Hopscotch!

 

I couldn't wait for today's reminder post because I had so much fun making this ATC. I sat for HOURS with this awesome coloring page image I found on-line....coloring, applying layers of gesso, smearing gelatos, applying rub-ons, doodling, and stamping. Oh-so much fun and I couldn't wait to share! I just wish I hadn't thrown the website info away for the color page, if I find it again I will let you know as I really want to give credit where due.

WW #82 Sun & Surf Reminder

 Here's a quick reminder that you have until 7:00 pm EST this coming Tuesday to join us at Wicked Wednesday for this week's Sun & Surf ATC challenge.

 

 

After using gesso and acrylic paints for the background, I stamped Surfer Anya from The Greeting Farm in Archival Ink and colored her with TH Distress Inks. A border strip of sunshine, a puffy water splash sticker, and a few white highlights were added to complete this ATC.

I must confess that lately I've been dabbling in art journaling and mixed media, and that I've been having fun being messy and creating outside of the boundaries I normally set for myself.  This ATC is the end result of an afternoon of pulling out art supplies and not caring what the final result was...other than it wasn't too terrible too look at.

TGF FFF Recyle/Alter Something

TGF's FFF challenge this week is to RECYLE/ALTER SOMETHING and this is what I altered...the little box that my gelatos fit into perfectly.

 

 

Black paint, TGF images stamped in various colors, chevron paper, and a Dymo label maker...it can't get much easier than that!
