WW #56 Cover Your Head & Happy Halloween!!

****************************************
Please scroll down for this week's FBW OPEN challenge.
****************************************

Wicked Wednesday has a fun challenge that starts today and runs through next Tuesday evening which is called COVER YOUR HEAD....which includes things you wear on your head or in your hair, such as feathers, headbands, flowers. I used the Girls Gone Fishing image from Stitchy Bear who is our sponsor, and they are offering one random winner a $10 gift certificate to their store this week. SWEET!

After several failed attempts at a Shark Week theme I set everything aside and walked away from my craft area. I woke up in the middle of the night remembering I had fishing hook brads....perfect! I also used a measuring tape sticker because we all know how fishermen like to tell stories about the "big one" that got away...my dad fished for years so I'm familiar with like stories, lol!

I hope you find a few minutes in your day to join us in this super fun challenge, feel free to link-up HERE!

Happy Halloween! I love making small projects....little things I can make in a couple of hours and not have to think too much about. For some reason, I was able to make quite a few of those this Halloween.

I love making treat bags and my kiddos love them too!

When I went to my sb'ing retreat a couple weekend ago, I made this fun and not too spooky wreath using Happy Hauntings, Chic and Scary, and Indie Art cartridges with lots, and lots, and lots of tulle tied around a wire wreath form.

(This took more than a couple of hours to make!)

Halloween stick pins inside handmade ATC boxes were sent to a few friends...I sure hope they like them!!!

Lastly, a couple of Halloween cards that I made for the kiddos using zombies and floating eyeballs.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone stays safe and is blessed with more treats than tricks today.

FBW #212 Open Challenge

Flutter By Wednesday has a wonderful challenge this week that is OPEN to all projects that have a fluttery butterfly and/or fairy on it.  Sounds too easy, doesn't it?!! LOL!

I used this fabulous image from Ike's World that was offered as a freebie a couple of weeks ago. As soon as I saw this gorgeous pumpkin fairy I knew she was the perfect image for this Halloween post and couldn't wait to color her...Copics and super-fine glitter were used.

Feel free to check out the Flutter By Wednesday blog HERE, and while you're there you can link up your project and see all of the wonderful creations my fellow teamies have come up....I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

I hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween, and you receive more treats than tricks!

The seniment was stamped in TH Dusty Concord, the image was stamped in Momento Bamboo and colored with Copics.

Wicked Wednesday #55 Full Moon Reminder

This week's challenge at Wicked Wednesday is all about Full Moon's...very simple and there's lots of ideas to be had, especially with Halloween in just a couple of days.

I started out by stamping the Forever in our Hearts image from Verve on plain white paper. I then used repositional tape on a 2" circle for masking and applied TH Distress Inks in Pumice Stone, Frayed Burlap, Black Soot, and Wild Honey over the mask. Then sprayed the entire image with LSG A Bit o' Bubbly Starburst Stain. All of the edges were heat embossed in black, and a second layer of gold embossing powder was added. All in all, I think this ATC looks luminous!

Don't forget that our sponsor is DRS Designs and they are offering this week's winner a $10.00 gift certificate to their on-line store. You have until Tuesday evening...we can't wait to see your wonderful little creations! Feel free to link up HERE.

Thanks for stopping by, it's always nice to read your wonderful comments.

Wicked Wednesday #55 Full Moon

Please scroll down for FBW #211 -  a sketch by Kathy.
*****************************************

Our sponsor for this week's Wicked Wednesday Full Moon challenge is  DRS Designs and they are offering this week's winner a $10.00 gift certificate to their on-line store, can you say SWEET!! We were given our choice of a couple of different images of their's to use and I chose the Shine on harvest moon sentiment, along with the tree and moon image.

What exactly is a Harvest Moon? It is the full moon that is seen nearest to the time of the autumnal equinox...which was September 29th this year.

After coloring the images I used Glossy Accents on the moon, sprayed LSG Scintillating Siver, added scraps of  assorted DP, and used a die-cut cat has been in my stash for over two years...waiting for the purrrfect time to come out and play.

We'd love to see what you create for this fun, and possibly spooky challenge. Feel free to link up HERE.

Flutter By Wednesday #211 Sketch by Kathy

This week we are using a sketch by our own FBW DT Sketch Designer....Kathy Curry. I turned this super-easy-to-use sketch on it's side to show how I worked with it:

Here's what I came up with using the wonderful Amalia Flower Fairy image from Dilly Beans...don't you love the chevron pattern from the Cosmo Cricket Evangeline line?!! Amalia was colored with Copics, fussy cut and popped on layers of Spellbinder circles and scallops. Distress ink, rick rack, flowers, pearls and rhinestones complete this sweet and girlie card.

Feel free to join us at Flutter By Wednesday HERE, and don't forget to check out what my fellow teamies came up with...their projects are sure to inspire you.

As always, thanks for stopping by and leaving all the sweet comments....they put such a smile on my face.

There's  just a few more days to join Wicked Wednesday's Butterfly challenge!!!

The butterfly image is a rub-on from American Crafts.
Sakura Glaze Pens were used to color it and glitter was added in a few spots.
The swirls were stamped from a clear and nameless stamp set.
The sentiment is from a vellum pack from years ago.
The DP scraps are from MME Dolled Up.

We'd love to have you join us in our weekly challenges, please feel free to link up your butterfly ATC and see what Wicked Wednesdays is all about HERE!

Does it seem like I'm in a hurry today? I am!!! Today is the 4th Annual Bartucci Rib-Fest! All the families on my hubs side prepare and cook ribs while eating poppers and drinking margaritas...ending with a  ballot vote for the winner. My family has yet to win because my sister-in-law bribes all of the youngest voters  with her charm and extra candy...lol, or so I claim!

This year is my family's turn to host...so I'm off to clean, cook, and to buy a bag or two of ice (for the margarita machine of course!)

I used this wonderful Butterflies and Daisies image from our sponsor this week, which is Delicious Doodles for my Wicked Wednesday ATC.  Delicious Doodles is offering a prize of 4 images of choice from their store for this week's winner....generous indeed! If you haven't had the chance to check out their store you really must...there are some wonderfully unique images to be had.

This ATC was colored with Copics and glittered, then a few rub-ons were added, along with the edges being  distressed in Frayed Burlap. EASY!

Now it's your turn...grab a butterfly or two, go to your happy place, and create! We can't wait to see what wonderful little ATC's you dream up this week. You can link-up HERE, you know we'd love to have you join us in our weekly challenges!
