FBW 225 Open Challenge

This week is one of my favorite challenges at Flutter By Wednesday...it's an OPEN challenge!!! All you have to do is make sure you have a butterfly and/or fairy on your project!

I Mustache U...

It might be hard to recognize these two girls because they're incognito, but......I'm guessing we all know who they are, right?!!  

 

  

The adorable Yumi and Fumi are some of the cutest gals around and I always giggle when I see them as I find their smiles infectious! (I just read on the Y&F FB page that these two are on sale at the Y&F online store for 30% off until Jan 31st....grab 'em while they're in stock.)

 

As soon as I saw this fab DP I  knew I had to make a fun card with these two girls being silly, as BFF's tend to do often.

I think everyone has had some kind of fun with this mustache fad in one way or another and I'm going to miss it when it's replaced by a new trend. My own family used pig snouts instead of mustaches during a recent family gathering for our annual Rib Fest and I'm guessing the margaritas and sangria made us all think it was funnier than it was?!! Nah, the snouts were hilarious and even my mother-in-law was caught wearing one.

I've really enjoyed spending my Tuesdays as the January GD at Y&F H this month! Thanks for the sweet and encouraging comments.

Pandamonidum with Y&F H

While driving to the airport to pick up my hubby I was reflecting on my week and all that had transpired over the past few days...let me say, it was a crazy week with a lot of chaos and unexpected challenges. As I was driving the word PANDEMONIUM popped into my head. What an odd word, yet it fit my week perfectly and that was when my "Ah-ha" moment occurred.....

 

Pandemonium,  Panda, Fumi Panda, PANDA-monium....Ah-ha!  

I knew I had to make a card with that theme, and that it should turn and spin....and be (just a little) chaotic!

and this is what it does!

(Obviously, this is my first ever video!) 

I started by cutting a circle from recycled packaging, adding circles cut with Nesties, fussy cutting Fumi Panda, and sticking everything onto a game spinner. DP is from My Big Ideas. Stars were cut from a Memory Box die.

Wicked Wednesday #68 Add a Charm

Wicked Wednesday has a fun challenge this week and all you have to do is add a charm to your  ATC. Our sponsor this week is Just Some Lines who supplied the entire DT with some adorably fun images. 

I used this big puffy Word Love image from JSL which reminded me of sitting in my high school class, day dreaming and doodling on my notebooks. The flower charm I used is small, but I thought it was perfect to use in place of the letter O. The hearts were hand drawn and lots of Stampendous Crystal Snow was used.  All papers are from my never ending stash of scraps.

I'm also entering this in the Something New challenge at Just Some Lines...if your wondering what I used that was new, it was the image.

FBW #224 Sketch Challenge

This week at Flutter By Wednesday we are using a sketch by our own FBW Sketch Designer Kathy Curry, here's the sketch that the entire DT worked with:

 

 

This adorable image is Boo and Snookie by A&T Digital Designs and was colored with Copics. 

The DP is by Christy Tomlinson. Mesh bling, EK Success Arch Scallop border punch, Nestie oval & oval scallop dies, white gel pen, CB Swiss Dots embossing folder, and a flower (shhhh.....stolen from my sister's stash) were all used on this card.
