WW #125 Support our Troops

The challenge this week at Wicked Wednesday is all about Supporting our Troops and is sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs. The image I used is Army Honey and can be found at their online store HERE.

1. Hooah /ˈhuːɑː/ is military slang "referring to or meaning anything and everything except no". Used by soldiers in the U.S. Army, which accounts for the vast majority of the usage of the word.

I just can't say how proud I am of those who serve our country....young, old, past, and present. I have a feeling that these men and women will be needing our continuous support and compassion over the coming months, more than ever. With that being said....if anyone knows where cards for the troops can be sent please let me know....I have plenty I'd love to share!

WW # 154 Stripes

The challenge at Wicked Wednesday this week is simple, it's STRIPES!  Our generous sponsor is A&T Digital Designs/Emerald Faeries who provided the design team with adorable images to create with.....I choose  the sweet fairy Jewel.

Jewel was colored with Copics and her wings sparkle from Stickles. Paper pieced clouds float in the yellow Gelato background. White and black gel pens, along with a charcoal pencil were used.

SAY IT ISN'T SO!!! Please say the rumors I've been hearing about this winter being snowier and colder than last year are just NOT true!!!! It's only the middle of September and we woke to 43 degrees this morning!! Summer isn't over,  at least not officially but here we sit trying to decide if we should put the heat on.

WW #153 Fav Color Combo

Our challenge at Wicked Wednesday this week is to use your FAVORITE COLOR COMBO! We are being sponsored by All Dressed Up, who generously supplied the DT with a couple of different images to design with. I used this adorable image called Fairy Magic. 

My favorite color combo? BG10 and ANY color! After coloring and fussy cutting the image, I used a black Sharpie around all of her edges, making this cutie stand out in the oodles of  glitter surrounding her.

WW #152 Fall Fun

This week's challenge is all about FALL FUN at Wicked Wednesday! Our sponsor is Lacy Sunshine and the image I used is Bashful Boo Trick or Treating.

The KEEP CALM sentiments are from a Google search where the images were C/V and resized to fit my ATC. The pumpkin button is from my stash.

I plan to use this cutie on a Halloween treat bag for my daughter's college roomie....she's a red head too and (I hope) will giggle when she sees it.

WW #151 Beautiful Blooms

Another Wednesday, another ATC...I love how they go together!

Our sponsor over at Wicked Wednesday this week is DRS Designs and the challenge is called BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS.

My inspiration for this ATC came on a day I was rifling through the abundant stock of Inchies I have when it occurred to me that this Bloomin'  Huge Flower image (from DRS Designs) would be perfect to make a few more with. After printing the image in multiple sizes, I then colored them with Copics, inked a few edges, pop-dotted a couple of the smaller images and used alpha stamps for the sentiment. Easy Peasy!

WW #150 Back to School

This week's challenge at Wicked Wednesday is always a bit sad because it marks the end of summer, it is the BACK TO SCHOOL theme. 

Yesterday was the 1st day of school in our district and my son's 1st day of being a ninth grader and surprisingly, he was a tad bit more calmer about his first day of high school than I am. As cool and grown-up as he thinks he is....I still take a picture of him sitting on the steps next to his backpack on the 1st day, just like every other mother! #best9thgraderever!

And in just a few short weeks we take our daughter back to college, hopefully we'll be finishing up with her shopping by the end of next week. #bestdaughterever!

Our sponsor this week is Time for Tea and the image is called Apple for Teacher.

Distress inks and school related rub-ons were applied for the background. The image was fussy cut, outlined with a charcoal pencil and smudged, then it was outlined again with a white Signo pen.

WW #149 Something Sweet

The challenge this week at Wicked Wednesday is Something Sweet, with Sami Stamps being the sponsor. The image I used is called Kitty in my Lap. 

Am I the only person who logs onto FB only to be inundated with pictures of cute kitties? I have a friend who should be banned from FB with all the pictures and quotes of felines that she posts.....this ATC is in her honor. I once read that someone can't read more than 10 posts without seeing a picture of a cat...I've found that fact to be true, lol.

WW #148 Leo

The challenge over at Wicked Wednesday is called LEO and the image I used is also called Leo, which was provided by this week's sponsor, Delicious Doodles.

I opted to make a horoscope ATC by printing today's horoscope from Cafeastrology.com onto watercolor paper. After coloring and masking the image, Distress Inks were applied to the edges and then water was splattered over the ATC.

Because today is our lovable and fierce leader's birthday at Wicked Wednesday, I made a small journal for her using the ATC with her horoscope. I hope she likes it!
