Christmas Mini

This is what I've been up to lately....making mini albums using Kathy King's Interactive Mini Scrapbook tutorial. I've made a boat load of these minis and call me crazy if you must, but I just want to keep making more of them!

Miscellaneous papers, card stock, chipboard, a few embellishments, and photos from last Christmas make for a quick and easy album that goes together in a few short hours and looks great on our coffee table!

2014 Christmas card is front and center!

A little stamping behind the tags.

A waterfall of pictures from Christmas day.

These minis are short, sweet, and full of wonderful memories!

Happy Halloween

I have another card for Halloween using TGF's adorable Beanie Anya, she's styling some awesome Halloween colors. I've seen this style of card for a while and finally thought I'd give it a try, it was lot's of fun to decorate and if I can find the tutorial I used, I will come back and update this post with a link to it.

I thought I was being clever when I attached the die cut to a transparency, the cat looks like it is floating doesn't it?!  Thanks to my crafting bud Marjorie for sending both the cat and transparency to me.... she's now the happy recipient of this not-so-spooky card.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween!!

Black, Orange & Purple

Gosh, It's been over a month since I last posted....even though I've been crafting, I just haven't made too many cards. I just couldn't pass up ths month's challenge at The Greeting Farm which is to use the colors black, orange, and purple.

Here's my card using this adorable guy and sentiment from TGF's Spooky set.

I just love the spider web my friend Marjorie sent me  so I put it on a transparency and popped it with Kool Tack clear foam....such a cool product, you can barely see it.

Thanks for stopping by, I always appreciate your sweet comments!

Happy Birthday Danni /Flutter By Hop

A few of us have gotten together to have a Flutter By Hop and to wish Danni, the owner of the late Flutter By Wednesday blog, a very happy and fun-filled birthday today! Keeping Flutter By Wednesday in mind, we have all created a little something for Danni and have added a butterfly or fairy to our projects.

I've never made a pocket letter before but have wanted to since the first time I saw one on blogland a couple months ago. I love the idea of filling them with some crafting goodies and a sweet treat (or two)...and then mailing it to a friend.  Such a cute idea, right?!!

I used the adorable Flutterby Anya from TGF and added lots of sparkle on her wings! The pictures look foggy because...well, because it's hard to take a clear picture through a baseball card protector sleeve.

HOP LIST:
.......Denice.......

Anyone can join the hop and leave comments! Danni will be offering two (2) separate gift certificates to people who leave comments. You have until Monday, September 7th to leave your comments. The winners of the gift certificates will be announced Tuesday, September 8th on Danni's blog.

Happy Birthday Danni!!
I hope your day is filled with all the flutter-bys your heart can handle!

Happy Birthday Marjorie!

I made a birthday card for my friend Marjorie using an Elizabeth Craft Designs accordion die...these dies are so much fun to create with and always result in a stunning card. The dies are really easy to work with, there's no need to be intimidated by the design.

I used transparency for the centers to make it look like the images are floating. The hardest part of this card was trying to figure out how to connect the panels without the glue showing through....after much thought I came up with glue dots, thank goodness they hadn't dried up! Do you see it?!

A little history about Marjorie and I, we "met" when we were paired as partners in a Cricut swap we both signed up for and we became friends with our very 1st email. Even though we live 450 miles apart we were able to meet when she came to the area to visit her son who was attending college just a couple suburbs away. We chat almost every day and I am so happy to have her in my life and to be able to call her a friend!
 Happy 50th Marjorie!!

Thanks for stopping by and sticking with me this past month, I have to say it's been nice  to sit back and enjoy the summer. School started for my youngest today which, hopefully, allows for some extra crafting time!

************************
I just got back from a week trip to Orlando for a scrapbooking retreat with a group of girls that have been together for the past 8 years. It's the same group of girls but we switch locations almost every year....we've been to Pennsylvania, Kansas, Indiana, Illinois and Florida. We have Ohio, Maine, Nevada, and Washington to go!

These MudLOVE braclets were made for us by Vanessa's daughter...love them and the MudLOVE message, which you can check out HERE.

I completed 18 pages and 2 mini books by Kathy King (Orta), ate Conch Fritters and Buffalo Gator (both were delish) and had a fun and relaxing weekend....can't wait to do it again next year!

Something Country

This card was made for the weekly challenge at  Loves Rubberstamps and the theme was Something Country. Sadly, we found out this morning the online store and blog have been temporarily closed due to family matters. Wishing Laura and her family the best and hopefully the store/blog will be re-opened soon.

I just love the TGF Big Anyas and Anya Blooms was perfect for the challenge. Just a little gingham and some sunflowers turned this into "country" without really trying.
