TGF Tea-riffic Preview

Hello, TGF friends!

So, are you all exhausted...reeling from this FULL week of previewing the FIVE new stamp sets being released at The Greeting Farm TOMORROW????? Well, we thought we'd help out with that and wind down the week with a nice cup of tea....

However, winding down is not all THAT possible because we have a HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT TOMORROW, don't forget! For now though, sit back...relax...and pour yourself a cup or two of inspiration from our new "Tea-riffic" set.

I immediately thought of tea bags with this adorable new set and remembered seeing a tutorial on Splitcoaststampers to make a tea bag holder. Not only was this a fun and easy project, but it will also make a great gift for a friend (or two) when the winter chills have them down this winter.

We are totally zen on the TGF BLOG today too (ok, we are bursting with excitement about tomorrow, but we are TRYING to be, anyway!), so be sure to head over for more project inspiration and another chance to WIN "Tea-riffic" today!

Thanks, as always for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow for ALL the excitement!

Sadly, I don't have a card or project to share today, but I wanted to let you know that today is another preview day over at The Greeting Farm! SLEIGHBELLS RING...are YOU listenin'?

Hello, Farm Friends! It's hard to believe that in a few short months, we'll be twirling into Thanksgiving, caroling into Christmas, and putting some HEART in the HOLIDAYS! While we don't want to rush any of the magical times ahead (and maybe not rush that cold weather, either!), we know that it takes time and energy to get a head start on those Holiday cards!

Today marks day one of a FIVE-day PREVIEW EVENT at The Greeting Farm and we are thrilled to bring you our first sneak peek at a new CLEAR stamp set, simply titled "CLEAR CHRISTMAS!" Before we get to previews, we have a SUPER special October Guest Designer to announce today! Please welcome the amazingly sweet and talented LORI CRAIG to our TGF family this month! Lori's blog, "Make a Difference" is inspiring and from the heart, you'll definitely want to visit and we are over the moon that she is joining us this month. WELCOME. LORI!

I've been wanting to make a shaker card for so long and thought the sleigh was the perfect image for a candy shaker card, made from recycled Wacky Tape packaging.

The minute I saw the Parcel Post image in this set I knew I was going to make a tag (or two)...

I was a bit nervous about using clear stamps in UTEE, but the stamps came out unscathed and still stamp perfectly, kudos to the quality of these clear stamps!

Well, does that get you in the spirit, even though it's a little early? We hope so! Don't forget to check out the TGF BLOG today for MORE samples from the entire DT and a chance to WIN this set before it's released! What's more? We have a HUGE announcement coming on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1st during our RELEASE day post and you will NOT want to miss this one...promise! Not only do we have a new release coming, a new Challenge Team coming October 1st...we have ONE more exciting announcement and it might just be our best one YET!

Thanks for stopping by today...I'll definitely be back with more in the next couple of days!

A Spooktacular Spotlight

Hi all, I have to tell you, I LOVE living in the Midwest and thoroughly enjoy all four seasons (even if I do feel the winter season is 2 months too long) and in a couple of days it will officially be fall, which is my favorite season. We’ve already started to have cooler temps, and just this past weekend we saw hay bales and pumpkin fields cropping up on the country roads! It’s true, I’m definitely falling into the Halloween spirit and am getting the itch to start decorating...even though I know it’s waaaaaay too early...or is it?!!

Nah, it’s never too early, LOL! I’ve got a cute project I’d like to share with you today using the Spooktacular digi set which came out last year. I instantly fell in love with these little characters...and thought they’d make the cutest little ornaments/charms. A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E!!!

I had to think of what I was going to hang the ornaments from and after another ‘ah ha’ moment I pulled out my handy-dandy Cricut and used one of the Halloween cartridges to make this not-so-spooky tree to hang them from. Then I added a few sets of eyes...hoping for a spooky feel! Not too scary though, right?!!

Lastly, thanks for stopping by today! I want to give a BIG shout-out to all my followers for the positive comments over the past couple of months...they truly warm my heart!

TGF Boho Anya

Another quick Boho Anya card, and as much as I want to keep including peace signs and the word "groovy" I have to refrain...this girlie is stylin' and definately brings a new and updated version of chic to the runways...I just love her soft and flowing style!
Okay, okay...so I did add some peace signs to the card...I'm a throwback from the 70's, I just had to add them!! LOL!

I'm off for a little R&R this weekend with my hubby for a combination birthday/anniversary celebration...he turned 50 in May, and we just celebrated our 24th anniversary a couple of days ago. It's always nice to escape from everyday life once in a while!

Enjoy what comes your way, and thanks for stopping by!

There'll be a new release available at The Greeting Farm on Thursday...it's adorable, it's a digi, and it's a Cheeky girl...three purrrr-fect features all in one image!

I used Rach's sketch from today's WOW (Which One Wednesday) Challenge over at the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog for my inspiration for this card. Here's the sketch:

Here's what I came up with!

What do you think....isn't the kitty costume purrrr-fect for the newest Cheeky girl...MEOW!!! Don't forget, you can get her tomorrow at The Greeting Farm store!

A Summer Breeze

Thought I'd share just a little bit of my afternoon with you...

and how I love this time of year when it starts to get a little cooler outside and we finally get to open the windows after what seems like a couple of months of continuously having the air conditioning on. I could sit for hours, watching the curtains blowing in the wind...light and airy...floating and fluttering like butterflies!

I can only hope that your day was just as serendipitous!

Throwback Thursday at TGF

I’m sitting here wondering if you’ve heard the saying...

OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW

I bet you have, and boo-hoo-hoo...I LOVE my older TGF stamps and would NEVER, EVER get rid of them! OMG, NEVER!!! LOL! Thank goodness for Throwback Thursdays...when it’s alright to pull out your older TGF stamps and show them some lovin’! You know you can pull them out any day of the week, it’s just that TGF likes to showcase some of the older sets on Thursdays...they’re why we fell in love with TGF in the first place! With that said, I hope you like the project I made for you today!

I found this adorable quote while searching for angel quotes for my Heart Journal a couple of weeks ago, and I’ve been thinking about this ever since I saw it...waiting for the right time to use it. I can’t remember who the quote was by, if anyone does and wants to let me know, that would be great.

I don’t think it comes as a surprise to anyone when I say that I LOVE the Cheeky Cherry girls as they seem to show up a lot in my projects...and who doesn’t love the adorable and aptly named Naughty and Nice set?

I wanted to use Cheeky with her wings and halo, but wasn’t sure what to do about the broomstick...until my “AH HA” moment when I remembered I bought Hallo Witch Digi last Halloween. Along with my images, I used a lot of color sprays, flowers, pearls, lace, glitter, Copics, and few other do-dads...finishing with this adorable wall hanging (which has yet to have a ribbon to hang it with!)

The older stamps really are why most of us fell in love with TGF in the first place, so I hope you get the chance to pull out some of yours this week. Maybe you'll find the time to join a challenge or two, and if you do...hopefully you’ll join the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog
DT with one of their 3 weekly challenges.

Miss Anya Bags, DS17, and Day 189

Here's another card I made with the newly released TGF Miss Anya Bags...isn't she a cutie with those adorable piggy tails?!!

I thought I'd use Deconstructing Jen's Sketch 17, and as usual I'm posting to her challenge in the 11th hour...but I really do love her sketches and don't like missing them unless I'm having a busy, busy week.

I also used another challenge that my card fell right into this week over at the 365 Cards blog, Day 189 - Pattern Frenzy....it was to use 6 different patterned papers...that was easy peasy to do after I paper pieced her top and purse.

I'm still in love with the SEI paper pack that I found at the Expo a couple of weeks ago, it's patterns are the perfect size for cards. I went looking through my stash of stamps and this sentiment and knew immediately it was going to work great with Jen's sketch...but OMGoodness, I didn't realize it was going to work so well! LOL! As usual, I used Copics to color.

As always, thanks for stopping by and leaving comments, they're always appreciated.

Lula - Something Special

Here's the adorable TGF Lula again...in pink, purple, and black...which is probably my least fav color combination. But I thought Lula could rock these colors, and ROCK...she does!

Can you guess the 5 TGF stamps I used on this card?
1. Lula
2. Bantastic
3. Splotchy Background
4. Special Autumn
5. Matey (for the skulls)

I had a lot of fun making the banner, but hemmed and hawed over making the little bows...it seems my fingers just kept getting in the way, LOL!

I'm trying something different today and am going to PILE IT ON by joining a couple of different challenges with this card...something that's new to me. Here are the two challenges I'm joining this week.

1. PIO #36 Anything that begins with B, and I used a BANNER
2. Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog Anything but Birthday

Thanks for stopping by and leaving all the sweet comments, they really do make my day!

SPECTACULAR SEPTEMBER Blog Hop

Hello, everyone!

It is shaping up to be a SPECTACULAR SEPTEMBER indeed as it's the FIRST of the month and it's time for our exciting stamp release today at The Greeting Farm!

As if that weren't enough...I FINALLY get to show you the brand new MISS ANYA set that has become all the 'buzz' around farmland this week.... INTRODUCING:

MISS ANYA "BAGS"!

Remember that little snippet of the new Miss Anya set from last Friday? Well, here is the whole card, in all of it's Anya glory.....

It was really hard to choose which of these three new gorgeous Anyas I should preview...in the end, my deciding factor was the hair...I couldn't pass up these long tresses and was giddy as all "get out!" when I started coloring them! This is just one of the 3 fabulous images in the set.

I wanted to add some butterflies and remembered the K&Co butterflies from a few years past that had transparent wings...OH MY, it was LOVE at first sight with those beauties! After using up my stash of those butterflies, I've since duplicated them by cutting the transparency with my Cricut (with wonderful results) and using my MS punches...OH YEAH, do I ever love this 3D look!!!

Isn't this new Miss Anya set "Fierce" as Christian from PROJECT RUNWAY would say??? We at TGF are just in love with this new set, and speaking of runways and fashion, it's time to crown the 2011 FARM FASHIONISTA so be sure to check out the TGF BLOG today to see who WON!

In addition to that excitement, we have today's hop for you to enjoy because there is ONE MORE FULL RELEASE up for grabs as today's PRIZE on the TGF BLOG! Be sure to start there for all the release excitement to begin and check back there tomorrow to see who the winner was! In case you get lost along the way, here is your hop order:

TGF BLOG
Jess Marin
Becca Fabozzi
