LRS #158 Let's Celebrate!

Happy Tuesday! The challenge this week at Loves Rubberstamps is LET'S CELEBRATE and I can't think of a bigger or better celebration than the 4th of July!

How to play:
Just upload a creation that follows this week's challenge to your online blog or gallery. Then leave a link to your project in the linky widget at the bottom of the Loves Rubberstamps post. If you upload to online galleries, please also use the tag or keyword LRSBC158.  This challenge is open to everyone, you can use any stamps and products that you would like, and you can enter as many times as you want.

Deadline:
The linky entry widget will close at 9PM CST on Monday, July 6th.

Prize Information:
One lucky participant will be chosen using a random number generator will be able to proudly display our Winner's Badge on their blog!

There are two different possibilities for a gift voucher prize from Loves Rubberstamps for the winner as well.

LRS June 28th Sunday Blog Hop

I've been wanting this die for the past 6 months and finally convinced myself to purchase it because our family has so many nieces, nephews, and friends with school aged children. I know I'll be getting plenty of use out of it! For this card I used both the graduation hat and circle confetti pieces. I have to admit I was a bit nervous thinking the confetti was going to stick to the dies, but they came out like a charm! As an FYI, there are 3 additional confetti shapes to this set.

It's been a while...

It seems like its been ages since I made a card just to make a card...so I thought I'd take a little time out of my day to color this sweet TGF freebie from a few months ago to join in a few challenges. 


 After a failed attempt at stamping a chevron pattern on the inside of the circle, I pulled out my MFT Concentric Circle stencil and DI weathered wood to create a pattern to break up the plain white cardstock. There's also a sweet seashell border that was inked with DI spun sugar and glitter-ized.

I think I need to get a new light source to take better pictures because these really are the cutest little tags. The Frantage embossing powders look fabulous with the gold glitter mixed in.

LRS #156 Masculine Challenge

Happy Tuesday! The challenge this week at Loves Rubberstamps is MASCULINE!  We are being sponsored by Bugaboo who provided the DT with some wonderful images, I used the wonderful Guy - Car Keys image...which is perfect for multiple reasons!  I opted to make a card for my almost 16 year old who will be getting his driver's license soon, there's even a gift card holder on the inside for a local gas card.

It seems like my motto lately is "life is short, add rhinestones!" I am trying to use up some of the mesh bling I've been hoarding. Not sure why I am hoarding it because when I ordered it a few years ago, the company sent the wrong order to me and I received over 20 yards of various colors of mesh bling. As you can guess, I was giving it out as Christmas presents to some of my crafty friends that year.

LRS #154 Anything Goes

I've never said "there's too much glitter" on any project....until now! I had to find a way to remove some of the shiny stuff as this card was a bit too glitzy. A paint brush worked wonders at removing quite a bit of it, but it's still very glitterly!
