WW #128 Halloween

Happy Wednesday!
The challenge at Wicked Wednesday  this week is HALLOWEEN and how fabulous is it that we have not one, but two awesome sponsors: QKR Stampede and Dilly Beans.

I used Copics to color #274 Heart Monster 2....he is one of my favorite digi stamps at Dilly Beans.

I'm almost ashamed to admit how easy this ATC was to make.....the base is a journaling card I cut to the standard 2.5" x 3.5" ATC size. I used a gelato in Tangerine to paint the orange background, a Sharpie for doodling,  along with a charcoal pencil and white Signo pen for added details. EASY PEASY!

You have until 7:00 pm (EST) next Tuesday evening to join this fun challenge, feel free to click HERE to link your ATC....be it scary, creepy ,or cute.....just make sure it is HALLOWEEN themed!

Dilly Beans ATC

As of late, it seems I haven't had the opportunity to make a project for any challenge as my crafting always has an agenda. Having some spare time this weekend, I thought I'd play along with Dilly Beans latest challenge to make an ATC, which is right up my ally!

I used Dilly Beans #255 Zombie Hearts image, Copics, washi tape, glitter, white gel pen, TH alpha stickers, and a charcoal pencil to git 'er done.

I'll be back on Wednesday with another little project, until then....
HAPPY, HAPPY DAY!!

I went grocery shopping last week in 17 deg weather in only a fleece jacket and no gloves, then this morning I woke to another 4" of snow....I think all of my fingers and tootsies are frozen and are no longer affected by the weather. Will this winter EVER end?  *sigh*

Thanks for stopping by and leaving such sweet comments, they're always appreciated.

FBW #259 Any Winged Creature

This week's challenge at FBW is Any Winged Creature, which means a butterfly and/or fairy is NOT required. If you look closely you will see which winged creatures I used....some low flying bats in a fun shaker wall hanging. Every time I walk by this wall hanging I have to shake it...I love the noise and movement.

Dilly Beans images were used, #483-Monsters and #477-Bats. About 8 of these bats were printed, colored, fussy cut and included in the shaker...I thought they would be cute flying around with all of the beads. The orange and black seed beads were gifted to me over a year ago, along with other small beads that were added to make this a fun...not too scary...wall hanging.

Also used were a MS blood dripping border punch, along with a Spellbinders fence die. DP is from Paper Studio.

Challenge #259 details:
  • FBW challenge #259 is Any Winged Creature

I had a lot of fun making this ATC from coloring this Dilly Beans Little Devil image with Copics, to stamping the background, to adding just a little bit of colored pencils here and there. I used green gel dots on his eyes and the sentiment was stamped with mini alpha stamps from the $1 bin from Michael's....what a fun font!

Dilly Beans #268 - Clown, washi tape, a MS border punch, Copics, embossing powder, DI's, and a sequin were used on this ATC.

I'm going to tell you a little something about myself....I find floating heads and eyeballs absolutely HILARIOUS and can't stop laughing when I see them in commercials and in TV shows. I will giggle for 20 minutes and just when I start to compose myself, the same commercial will play again...and I will start laughing all over again. The minute I saw this fab Wilma I. Ball image from Dilly Beans, I knew what I was going to do with it.....float her in the sky with some fellow eyeballs!

Our challenge at Wicked Wednesday this week is Ribbons and Bows, which is sponsored by Dilly Beans who is offering 3 free digis to one lucky Mr. Linky winner! Gorgeous and quirky...that's how I describe Dilly Bean images, but you can check them out yourself HERE.

Everything on this little ATC was paper pieced, except for the iris which was colored with BG10. All DP is from Basic Grey Shine On,  along with some Recollections Washi Tape, and ribbon and eyeballs from my stash.

You have until next Tuesday evening to join us at Wicked Wednesday. I really I hope you get the opportunity to stop by the blog and see what my fellow teamies dreamed up this week, they're sure to inspire you.

Wicked Wednesday #60 Frame-it Reminder

After I printed Frida's Flower Headband (#339) by Dilly Beans on Kraft I decided to darken the framing a tad bit with my Sharpie. After coloring a few spots with a white gel penl, I then colored over some of the white with my Sakura Glaze Pens for a little pop of color. Lastly, I'm still lovin' mesh bling and am wondering why I haven't bought it in more colors yet.

Now don't forget, Stitchy Bear is our sponsor this week and they're offering a $10 certificate to their store to one lucky random winner! You have until 7:00 pm Tuesday evening to join us in this fun challenge at Wicked Wednesday....feel free to link up HERE. If you're looking for a little inspiration, don't forget to check out my fellow teamies ATC's...they always have something fun up their sleeves.

FBW & WW Thank-You Collaboration

The day has come where both of my DT challenges are one and the same...THANK-YOU! Seriously, THANK-YOU/THANKFUL is the challenge for both teams, lol!

.
This adorable image from Dilly Beans is Amalia and after coloring her in a few places I added  a little sentiment, then popped a Recollections butterfly on top of everything.  How sweet that Dilly Beans is our sponsor at Wicked Wednesday this week!

A fairy or butterfly, and a thank-you....those are the only requirements for this week's Flutter By Wednesday challenge and I had all of that on my ATC so it only made sense to me to make it into a card.

I used Jen Shults' DS #76 sketch for inspiration, even though I didn't make the deadline for her weekly challenge I still wanted to mention which sketch I used.

You have until Tuesday evening to join both challenges, feel free to link up to Wicked Wednesday HERE and Flutter By Wednesday HERE!

As always, THANK-YOU for stopping by, it's always nice to read your sweet comments.

Baking Snowman Tag

Do you have a favorite time of day? Mine is in the morning after the kiddos go to school and I can sit back and enjoy a cuppa while taking a few minutes to think about my day and make my lists. I love my lists...just ask my family! This morning I decided to take a few minutes to combine a couple challenges, I only wish I had time to join more challenges but my lists seem to keep me overly busy!

With Christmas comes homemade goodies and how fun to add a handmade tag to go along with a couple of loaves of fresh baked breads or a tray of cookies...I also think this would be cute to use with a Hot Cocoa mix too! After paper piecing the apron, I used Copics to color this Baking Snowman image from Dilly Beans.  I then added some mesh bling, a stamped sentiment, and tied it all together with some tulle and twine.

Stamps
Dilly Beans: Baking Snowman
Bo Bunny: What you got cookin?
Stampabilities: Polka Dot Background

Challenges:
Dilly Beans: Anything Girl
The Kraft Journal: Bangles and Bows

Flutter By Wednesday #211 Sketch by Kathy

This week we are using a sketch by our own FBW DT Sketch Designer....Kathy Curry. I turned this super-easy-to-use sketch on it's side to show how I worked with it:

Here's what I came up with using the wonderful Amalia Flower Fairy image from Dilly Beans...don't you love the chevron pattern from the Cosmo Cricket Evangeline line?!! Amalia was colored with Copics, fussy cut and popped on layers of Spellbinder circles and scallops. Distress ink, rick rack, flowers, pearls and rhinestones complete this sweet and girlie card.

Feel free to join us at Flutter By Wednesday HERE, and don't forget to check out what my fellow teamies came up with...their projects are sure to inspire you.

As always, thanks for stopping by and leaving all the sweet comments....they put such a smile on my face.

WW Birthday/Anniversary Reminder

The Birthday/Anniversary party is still going on at Wicked Wednesday so you don't have to fret that you might have missed it because you have a few more days to join in the fun! The theme is Birthday/Anniversary/One....simple and easy AND don't forget that there are some wonderful prizes to be had. You can  check out all the rules and upload HERE.

I made a couple of ATC's for this reminder post using images from two of our prize sponsors this week.  Up first is a fun ATC that was made using the Skull & Crow Cupcake image from Dilly Beans. I added some V.E.R.Y old birthday confetti stickers and lots of sparkly glitter to give this ATC a party feel, I even put a party hat on the crow, fun!

Next up is this wonderful Art Deco Birthday image by Michelle Perkett...she's so pretty and elegant.  I love all of the butterflies on her dress so much that I added a few more  using one of my MS butterfly punches.

Please feel free to join us in congratulating Jenn on Wicked Wednesday's 1st year anniversary and wish her continued success...she really is a wonderful and generous gal!

Wicked Wednesday Sugar and Spice

This week's challenge theme at Wicked Wednesday is Sugar and Spice and is sponsored by Dilly Beans, if you haven't had the chance to check out these fab images by Megan Suarez yet, you're in for an eye poppin' treat when you do!

I used  Amalia's Heart digi to make this quick and easy ATC. After resizing this Google found sugar and spice image I  glittered, then embossed  the entire ATC, fussy cut and glued Amalia down, and lastly added a few pearl flourishes. Simple and sweet.

Make sure to join us for this week's challenge, one random winner will win a Dilly Bean image of their choosing.

4, 3, 2, 1....

4 Challenges combined into
3 Cards, made in
2 days for
1 Blog

This isn't something I like to do...putting so many different challenges in one post but if I don't do this today, I'm going to run out of time by the end of the week to get all of these posted. Also, our internet/cable/phones have been wonky from a storm this morning and there are more storms expected over the next couple of days, so let's just get this started....

The Kraft Journal and Here Come the Boys:

Awww, I just love this lion image but have to be honest and tell you I'm not sure who it is by as it's one of my sister's stamps. The animal print buttons and background stamps are from OTC...they are a few of those things that when you buy them you just know that they are going to come in handy one day, LOL. The Kraft Journal's challenge is Make me Smile and Here Come the Boys challenge #32 is to make a Jungle Themed card....put them together for Wild for your Smile.

Dilly Beans:

This next card is for the Orange and Pink challenge over at Dilly Beans. You might be looking at this saying "where's the orange and pink?"....look at the image, it's there! After coloring the image on white paper I colored the background with various pink Copics and striped it with flourescent orange. When I originally finished making this card it didn't have the blue bird on it and it was pretty plain looking, so I went looking through my charms to find a bird but couldn't find one. Then I remembered I had some bird cuts from a swap I had made a few years ago...OMG, this swallow couldn't have been a better fit. Inside the card is sentiment from a stamp I found at the Goosebarn, it reads: LET YOUR DREAMS FIND WINGS...how perfect is that?!

The Greeting Farm:

My third and LAST card uses Cheeky Beach for TGF's FFF Summer challenge, the Cheeky Cherry girls are some of my fav's to color. This is my second attempt at coloring images with very light lines (I used Momento Angel Pink ink) and as you can tell, I still have a looooooooong way to go to master this technique. It's a gorgeous watercolor look when it's done correctly! There are lot's of tutorials on the no-line coloring technique, this tute is from SCS....hope you give it a try.

Whew, finally done! I know it's been a long post and I really do appreciate how you've read through it all...or maybe you took a little siesta and just left a comment?! LOL, either way, thanks for stopping by....hope you have a great day.

Zombie Love

The challenge at Dilly Beans this week is Zombie Love and how lucky for me that the free digi for the Silly Dilly Stamp Club was a zombie with hearts...perfect timing! I haven't colored too many of these images yet and feel like I'm just getting my feet wet with them, but I do know that I have soooooooooo much to learn when it comes to coloring. I thought I'd give Jen Shults sketch #37 a try...what a fun sketch and if you haven't seen Jen's coloring, you should take a look at her blog....AWESOME!

I used SEI DP, a MS punch, Copics, ribbon, TH mini-stapler, embossed paper heart from my stash, bling, and the sentiment was CG...EYE think it's cute, lol.

Stamps:
Dilly Beans: #255 Framed Zombie Hearts 4

Dilly Beans: Zombie Love
Deconstructed Sketch #37:

As always, thanks for stopping by and leaving the best comments...you all know how to make a blogger feel good.

Freaked

The current challenge at Dilly Beans is Freaked, ahhhhh...right up my alley....but eek, I don't have too many of the Dilly Bean images and I used the Sugar Skull last week...what was I to do? I decided to use the Hanging Heart Girl image and give her zebra striped hair using a new background stamp that I just bought. I think I covered "Freaked" and LOVE the final result of this card. I'm also entering this in Paper Playtime's Anything challenge...they always have fun challenges.

Be My Skully Valentine

Take some SEI doublesided DP, a doily, the Dilly Beans Sugar Skull digi image, a handful of blue Copics, Crystal Snow glitter, Glossy Accents, alpha stickers, and a die...that's all it takes to make a cool valentine's card for my oldest son. I just know he's going to love this!

I used Glossy Accents on the eyes and sprinkled a little ultra fine glitter over the top of them...so spooky cool! I cut two navy blue flowers using the Spellbinders Kaleidoscope Die, then layered and pop-dotted them...used the same DP to make a rolled flower. And in my usual fashion, I glittered the top of the flower and stuck a couple of heart shaped stick pins in it....and here you go.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Dilly Beans - Have the Blues
Totally papercrafts - Make your own flowers

Thanks for stopping by, it's fun chatting with friends...old and new!
