LRS May 5th Anything Goes

Are you saying, "enough with the clouds already!"  I promise I'll give it a rest soon, but I just had to make some in rainbow colors. As I was applying the final layers of purple and pink Distress Inks I noticed the colors where starting to smear and look muddy, so I've decided I'm going to make another cloud template...but this time it will be out of  white board card stock because I think the ink will easily wipe off after every use. I'll let you know how it goes.

Yes, you read right...I used the MFT Flat Bottom Clouds Die. After months (maybe years) of ogling Leanne's clouds, I thought it was about time I attempted them. HERE is the tutorial that was given to me, and rather than hand draw the clouds, I traced around the die to create the shape for the template.

Make sure you upload your creation by 9PM CST next Monday evening, which you can do HERE. If you upload to online galleries, please use the tag or keyword LRSBC148. The challenge is open to everyone, you can use any stamps and products that you would like, and  remember....you can enter as many times as you like...just remember to ADD FLOWERS!.

The challenge at Wicked Wednesday this week is simple, it's STRIPES!  Our generous sponsor is A&T Digital Designs/Emerald Faeries who provided the design team with adorable images to create with.....I choose  the sweet fairy Jewel.

Jewel was colored with Copics and her wings sparkle from Stickles. Paper pieced clouds float in the yellow Gelato background. White and black gel pens, along with a charcoal pencil were used.

SAY IT ISN'T SO!!! Please say the rumors I've been hearing about this winter being snowier and colder than last year are just NOT true!!!! It's only the middle of September and we woke to 43 degrees this morning!! Summer isn't over,  at least not officially but here we sit trying to decide if we should put the heat on.

WW #144 Clouds/Cloudy Day

Hopefully everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July weekend?!! We took a couple of the kiddos and my mother to visit my sister in Missouri. We had a great time relaxing with family, but the best part was meeting my nephew's daughter at her 1st birthday party...such a cutie. Then we watched fireworks at the A-Frame, provided by La Bourgeois winery along the Missouri River bluffs in Rocheport AFTER watching Man in the Ring in concert for four hours....an absolutely fabulous and relaxing evening had by all. A good weekend indeed!

FBW #205 Favorite Color

There's nothing better than creating fun projects with a favorite color and how awesome that this week's challenge at Flutter By Wednesday is: Use Your Favorite Color. Paper Make-Up Stamps is our sponsor and not only did they provide the entire DT with images this week, but they are also offering a $15 gift voucher to their store to this week's winner!


My absolute favorite color is blue, think clear skies with out a cloud in the sky. Second on my list of favorites is sage/celery green. Put them together and you get the most awesome color to create with....aqua. Throw in a little bit of Kraft paper and OMG, I started to get a little light-headed from "favorite color overload!"

I used my new Sizzix Flip-its die and mesh bling once again because they are just too much fun not to use! I also pulled out my MFT flat cloud die and paired it with Theresa Collins double-sided Fabrications DP. Again, OMG...I just found this DP in a 6x6 pad which is perfect for cards.

TGF Hallo Witch Digi

Here's a fun card I made with the Hallo Witch digi image from TGF, isn't she adorable?!! I couldn't believe my luck a couple of weeks ago when I found this SEI DP at HL, I thought to myself it would be perfect for a Halloween card and it is! I also had the chance to use my newest MFT cloud die, which I embossed and distressed the clouds. There are pearls and alpha stickers too.

I only have a couple more Halloween cards to make for my kiddos, and then I have a few fall decorations I want to put up. Sadly, this will probably be the last year my youngest dons a costume and trick-or-treats...he's getting a bit too "cool" to wear a costume! *sniff, sniff*
