Freaked

The current challenge at Dilly Beans is Freaked, ahhhhh...right up my alley....but eek, I don't have too many of the Dilly Bean images and I used the Sugar Skull last week...what was I to do? I decided to use the Hanging Heart Girl image and give her zebra striped hair using a new background stamp that I just bought. I think I covered "Freaked" and LOVE the final result of this card. I'm also entering this in Paper Playtime's Anything challenge...they always have fun challenges.

Stamps:
Dilly Bean: Hanging Heart Girl
OTC: Animal Print Background
Technique Tuesday: Sentiment
Crafty Secrets: Stitching

Challenges:
Dilly Beans: Freaked Challenge
Paper Playtime: Ch# 66 - Anything Goes & Blog Hop

'Lil Red

After discovering the Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge blog last week...I'm hooked, these are so fun! The challenge this week is Fairy Tales/Nursery Rhymes and I hope I'm on track with this theme.

HaHa...I don't have a wolf or anything that even resemebles one...but I do have this set of fangs that gives the illusion of a wolf and makes me think...."What big teeth you have Grandma!"

The stamps I used were:
Tree - Recollections
Grass - The Rubber Cafe
Anya - The Greeting Farm
Fangs - Inkadinkadoo

I'm entering this in:
Wicked Wednesdays: #16 Fairy Tales/Nursery Rhymes

Hope you have a great day, thanx for stopping by!

Make a Wish

I used The Fairies Frolic Digital Stamp from The Stamping Boutique to make this card, it's such a prety image. After I colored the image with Copics I dabbed my glue pad over the entire image (white space and all) and sprinkled ultra-fine glitter over everything. Then I ruined my Versamark pad by inking the glittered image so I could apply and heat some clear embossing powder over the glitter...I was hoping the image would have a "dreamy" look to it and thank goodness it does, otherwise I'd probably be a little po'd that I ruined my inkpad. All in all, it's a very pretty effect and seeing how I now have a glittery inkpad...I'll be trying it again, LOL!

I used Jen Shults' sketch for the card for inspiration and hope I didn't sway too far away from her original sketch.

I'm entering this card in these challenges:
Deconstructed Sketch #35
The Stamping Boutique: #24 Die Cut
Flutter By Wednesday: #187 Embossing

Be My Skully Valentine

Take some SEI doublesided DP, a doily, the Dilly Beans Sugar Skull digi image, a handful of blue Copics, Crystal Snow glitter, Glossy Accents, alpha stickers, and a die...that's all it takes to make a cool valentine's card for my oldest son. I just know he's going to love this!

I used Glossy Accents on the eyes and sprinkled a little ultra fine glitter over the top of them...so spooky cool! I cut two navy blue flowers using the Spellbinders Kaleidoscope Die, then layered and pop-dotted them...used the same DP to make a rolled flower. And in my usual fashion, I glittered the top of the flower and stuck a couple of heart shaped stick pins in it....and here you go.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Dilly Beans - Have the Blues
Totally papercrafts - Make your own flowers

Thanks for stopping by, it's fun chatting with friends...old and new!

Wicked Wednesday #15

Wicked Wednesday is a weekly ATC challenge blog and this week the challenge is Dress/Dress Forms and I hope I make the cut-off time....I think I'm barely squeaking in on this. I've made a lot of ITT's and was thinking that an ATC is just the next size up, right?! LOL! This is my 1st attempt at an ATC, I just have to say...I'm loving them!

This is my version of Dress/Dress Form and I think we all agree that sometimes it is all about getting the "right" dress...especially when it comes to weddings. Another first is this stamp set from SU called Happily Ever After ...it's the first SU set I ever bought back in '04, and isn't she adorable? Then as I was opening drawers to look for a rub-on this little vellum quote fell out and landed on the desk in front of me...it was meant to be!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you give these little ATC's a try...they're sorta/kinda addicting!

Dilly Beans Frosty Challenge

You know me, always looking for a challenge...and this week is no exception. Over at Dilly Beans the challenge is to make a "Frosty" project and this is what I came up with using the digi: Baking Snowman. I decided to make a tag that could be used with homemade treats because I didn't get the chance to get holiday baking done this year and thought I'd make some special goodies for Valentine's Day for some very special people.

Thanks for stopping by!

TGFM16, DS#34, and Paper Playtime #65

I thought I'd join a couple of challenges this week and it all started with this awesome sketch by Jen Shults.

I was a bit worried that the sketch had a few too many layers, but after looking at it for a while I was able to work it into a fab card for our newphew's 18th b/day...tweaking one of the layers into a gift card holder.

I colored Logan from The Greeting Farm with Copics, and am constantly amazed at all the different ways I can use these fab markers...notice the now black Viva Decor dots that were originally in a pearl color.

Here's a list of the three challenges I joined with this card. This is the 1st time I've participated in a challenge at Paper Playtime...but guaranteed, it won't be the last!
TGFM16 Lets Get Sentimental
Deconstructed Sketch No. 34
Paper Playtime Ch# 65 - TAGS & include a Sentiment!

Thanks for stopping by, I love visiting with friends...old and new!

Dilly Beans Winter Wonderland Challenge

This weeks challenge at Dilly Beans was to create a winter wonderland and this is what I came up with using the Winter Owl digi image.

You all know how much I love me some glitter, so I used glitter paper in a TH snowflake border die, along with some pink shimmery pearl CS. The sequined flower ribbon from HL is some of my all-time fav, sadly I used the last of it on this card. Hmmmmm....maybe a trip to the store is in order?!! And the little owl is from a $1 Christmas stamp set....I thought it went perfect with the digi image.

Thanks for stopping by, I always love your comments.

TGF - Monday Fun Day Recipe

Here's the recipe for this week's challenge over at The Greeting Farm's Challenge Blog: Polka-Dots, PINK, and TWO Ribbons...what's not to love about polka-dots?!!!!

I'm still in love with glitter and continuously look for reasons to use it! After using Glossy Accents to secure the rolled flower I sprinkled ultra-fine glitter over it before it dried. SWEET!

A huge THANK-YOU goes to Tracey Pickersgill for most of the embellies and DP for this card...most of the products were from the wonderful blog-candy that I won from her a couple of months ago. Doubly SWEET!!!

Thanks for stopping by, it's always fun to visit!

Deconstructed Sketch No. 33

I had the opportunity to play along with Jen Shults' Deconstructed Sketch 33 and what a gorgeous sketch it is to work with this week!

I bought this Stampendous Cling stamp a couple of months ago, not only do I love smiley faces but I instantly fell in love with the sentiment...it's a perfect combo! Who doesn't love the Viva Decor Pearl Pens?!! I love that you can make the pearls any size!

Thanks for stopping by, it's always fun to hear from a friend or two.

Dilly Beans: Shades of Red/Black Challenge

I've been waiting to try my hand with a Dilly Beans Digi ever since I saw one of the big-eye-art images over at Lisa's blog a couple of months ago. Oh...what fun and interesting images, I've been spying them all over blogland lately! This weeks challenge is Shades of Red/Black, here's what I came up with....fairly simple, but my 12 year old son is going to love it on Valentine's Day.

TGF - Monday Fun Day - A Color Combo :)

It's been a while since I've played along with TGF Farm Fresh Challenges, so I thought I'd join in this week's challenge which is a color combo:

Blue + White + One other color of my choice

I used the lovely Matilda and gosh, it was fun using pink as my color of choice. It was nice getting away from all the holiday colors...even if I still have my Christmas tree up and have no desire to take it down yet! LOL!

I am GRATEFUL for so many things!
