Retro Cheeky Xmas

Here's a quick card I made using the wonderful Cheeky Xmas from The Greeting Farm for todays FFC - Retro. You have the entire month to play along and if you're wondering which stamps qualify as "retro", there is a list at SCS that you can use to play along.

I tried giving this cutie a retro look and think I succeeded...why, just look at her fashionable pink Christmas tree! I started out thinking about aluminum trees from the days gone by, but decided on a pink tree because my friend Olivia has talked about growing up with a flocked pink tree and still has a few of the ornaments her mother used to hang on it. I still haven't gotten over my love for glitter and am continuously on the hunt for reasons to use it...don't you just love her glittery pink Santa hat?!!

Don't forget that the DECEMBER Guest Designer contest ends 11/10, so make sure to get your entries in to Jess before the big reveal of Phase 1 on our Facebook page on Friday, 11/11!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving all the fab comments!

What a lovely card. Is that a Fiskars or Recollections tree stamp?

Hi Denice. Wow, I love your Cheeky with these colors. She sure looks smashing in her pink and blue. Your card is awesome and I am so happy that you are having a great week. I am like you, I just don't feel like I have had 5 minutes to talk to anyone. I have taken to bringing my new laptop to work so that on my lunch I can post comments. This allows me more time once I get home to work on my cards and be with my family. Oh, talk about being busy..... Any I thought that summer would run me ragged. lol. Have a great day. The weekend is getting close. Yay! Hugs, Lisa

Oh Denice this turned out just adorable! I love her pink tree. My Grandma had one of the silver trees with the light that would spin and change the colors. lol... Wow, the memories you have brought out. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely card. It is just wonderful! Hugs, Lisa
