TGF Blog Hop Monday

What an exciting day...a blog hop for customers, fans, followers...for all lovers of TGF images!

I've been toying with the idea to make a TGF mini calendar for the past year and finally decided that it was time to put all those colored images that have sitting around to good use. I printed Cat's 2012 Mini Calendar template from SCS for the actual calendar...how sweet that she offers this freebie every year?!! There are lots of embellies and glitter on this 5' x 5.5" mini and I only wish the pictures showed more of the details.

Don't forget that there are THREE grand prizes: one in each category of "holiday" and "general" project categories and the 3rd to one person who isn't participating but just hopping and leaves a comment at all the destinations :) The ENTIRE Jan. release is up for grabs!!!!

Now....head back to the master list over at the TGF blog to see who's next on the hop list. I promise I'll be heading to all the blogs this evening after I get home from work because I can't wait to see all the cards and projects that everyone has made just for this hop!

Holiday Throwback with Miss Anya

It's Throwback Thursday over at TGF and we're getting our OLDER stamps dusted off to create some holiday cuteness. What better way than to use the Rain, Snow, Shine set, it's so versatile with Miss Anya and her seasonal outfits AND so much fun to color...I absolutely adore this set!

Almost everything on this card has been glittered or Glossy Accented, and I finally used my TH On the Edge Snow Flurries Die...LOVE it! I think the sentiment from the $1 bin fits the image perfectly too!

Don't forget to check over at the TGF blog...there might be some info about a give-away for visiting the DT's blogs today!

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but it seems now that the holidays are here I'm busier that ever! I've picked up extra hours at work and am trying to get shopping and wrapping done, and I keep asking myself..."do I have to bake too?!!" And here I sat...knowing a handful of 6th graders were coming over tonight and it was my sons turn for snacks. This is what a started with...jumbo marshmallows!

Here's what I finished with...so easy and the kiddo's LOVED them!

As the sentiment on the card says...WARM WISHES to all!

TGF Twilight Inspired

When making this card I accidently cut myself with my scissors, and I thought it uncanny that my finger was bleeding while making a card about vampires. Then I looked down and saw my glittery nails and started laughing, thinking it truely was a "Twilight" moment! LOL!

The sentiment on this card reads: DIAMONDS are a girl's best friend because I think diamonds are as perfect and sparkly as Edward's skin...and don't forget that Bella sports a dazzling diamond from the abfabulous Edward himself!

Here's a close-up of Edward's hair...DAZZLING!!!

Since TGF is celebrating Twilight and the newly released Breaking Dawn in which Bella and Edward finally get married, TGF will be giving away the "I DO" 4x6 wedding set to TWO lucky winners who comment on the DT's blogs and return to the TGF Blog to let us know you've seen all the sparkly magic! TGF will leave commenting open until 10pm on SUNDAY, November 27th to allow for an easy and relaxing hop during the holiday weekend!

TGF Matilda and DS#27

Here's a quick card I made for our niece Macala who turned 9 on Saturday...she is definately the queen of tiara's in the family! Happy Birthday Macala!

It's been a while, but I had the chance to play along with Jen Shults' Sketch 27 this week...and the patchwork is perfect as our sweet Macala just had her room revamped with purple and zebra striped carpeting a couple of weeks ago! LOL, that's a true story!

Here's what I came up with...

I used The Greeting Farm's new release Matilda and a fab $1 stamp from M's for the sentiment.

Such a fun card to make and I can definately see myself using this sketch regularly!

Thanks for stopping by!

Retro Cheeky Xmas

Here's a quick card I made using the wonderful Cheeky Xmas from The Greeting Farm for todays FFC - Retro. You have the entire month to play along and if you're wondering which stamps qualify as "retro", there is a list at SCS that you can use to play along.

I tried giving this cutie a retro look and think I succeeded...why, just look at her fashionable pink Christmas tree! I started out thinking about aluminum trees from the days gone by, but decided on a pink tree because my friend Olivia has talked about growing up with a flocked pink tree and still has a few of the ornaments her mother used to hang on it. I still haven't gotten over my love for glitter and am continuously on the hunt for reasons to use it...don't you just love her glittery pink Santa hat?!!

Don't forget that the DECEMBER Guest Designer contest ends 11/10, so make sure to get your entries in to Jess before the big reveal of Phase 1 on our Facebook page on Friday, 11/11!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving all the fab comments!

Keep Cozy Tags

Good Morning Peeps, I have a small project to show you today along with a little tip that I discovered a couple of months ago. Let’s get started...

Did you see the Keep Cozy set that was offered at the Farmer’s Market last month? I sure did and immediately put the adorable set in my cart and as always it was delivered to my door with the great service that we’ve all become accustomed to from The Greeting Farm. Fast service, savings, and stamps I {heart}...SCORE one for Farmer Denice!!

IMHO, it’s never too early to start making tags for the holiday and the word “NEVER” deserves repeating here because I have several nieces and nephews who all receive handmade tags each year, a retail job that requires extra hours during the holidays, and four kiddos at home...so it’s always good to get a head start on the holidays when I get the chance. Not only did I use the Keep Cozy set but I also used the snowflakes from the Clear Christmas set to make these tags. Brrrrr...

I thought I’d used the adorable new Holiday Anya to share a little tip I discovered a couple of months ago while using my Copics to color an image. It's pretty obvious I oversaturated the paper and the ink bled out, extending beyond the image lines. Ewwww...

I digressed about how it seems to take patience when using a blending pen to push the color back into the image and seeing how I’m an impatient person...I grabbed my white Pentel gel pen and colored over the leaking ink. Not only did it match my Neenah Solar White cardstock but it also disguised my out-of-image coloring (a.k.a. sloppy) well enough for me use the image on a project. It was super quick with great results!

I sure hope you find that little tid-bit helpful! Maybe you have a tip or two you’d like to share too...we’d love to hear them!
